What is this man? Some Samoan with big talk now complains of dislocated shoulder? This Samoan lost to a Fiji Indian. Samoans are totally weak. I mean losing to a Fiji Indian? Dude Joy Ali beat this guy, Faimasasa Tavui by a TKO in the 5th round. The guy threw in his towel. This guy told everyone that he was gonna knock out Ali in the 3rd round while Ali said he was gonna knock Tavui out. This Samoan kid told Ali not to run away but come face to face and fight him. Well Ali did that, and now the bullsh!t Samoan is running away by giving up. Nothing but just big talk from a Samoan boxer. A lot of fans got disappointed as the Samoan had nothing to offer but just big talk. Waiting 2 years for some decent boxing in Fiji, the fans are now angry at how the match turned out - a high and mighty Samoan running away. Well so much for Samoans being thought of as strong - which they are not since everything from rugby to boxing is hyped up about them. And so much for reviving boxing in Fiji. I guess it is better to watch Ali take on a local instead of some weak Samoan.

LOL, SAD i was reading about that, i was like this Samoan man has a lot to say, then i hear he threw in the towel. Samoans & Tongans have it good, they immigrate out of their countries take up sports and raise the international reputation for their home countries, giving the reputation.

why fight local? try and get out from that pacific rim and prove it in US or Europe, this is one area sports in Fiji don't progress "lack of exposure" .

best of luck with ali i hope he makes it big in fiji. I reckon this somoan guy also did a great job and gave it his best shot i also wish him best of luck in the future. Somoans and tongans are gr8 ppl by nature! despite the fact somoans are a bit more aggressive but they are lovable ppl! No not all somoans are weak as a matter of fact every race has its strong and weak ppl! wat matters the most is the amount of training you do and practice

Another fight coming up in May. It is good to see that boxing matches are held at the Vodafone Arena instead of Sigatoka.

my samoan friends are known to talk big but its mostly shit.

Must be a culture thing as most of them do it.

They start fights and don't finish them, instead they curl their tails between thier legs and run.

There probably has been... but the difference here is Faimasasa Tavui has been talking big for weeks in the media and probably now wishes he hadn't! This will teach him to bite his tongue next time he opens his mouth.

you stupid ass fijians ever heard of DAVID TUA, yeah that's rite, he was full blooded samoan, he made out good for himself and his country by making it all the way to the top, i know he didn't win the tittle, but what he accomplished was far more then any fijian boxer could ever dream off, on second thought, who ever heard of such a thing "a fijian indian boxer" now you all running your mouth up in hea like you could've done a better job, don't let a single individual influence your opinion about the entire people of samoa, it sounds to me you guys have a personal hatred against samoa, could it be cause we have more recognition world wide then fiji? or could it be cause we look better then you guys even on our bad days, this Tavui guy is not full blooded samoan, and in the world of boxing anything can happen in the ring, its called lucky punch, look at Lennox Lewis vs Hasim Racman, that was a lucky punch, and if you guys are gonna sit there and label all samoans as only big talkers but can't do shit, then maybe you guys are hanging out with our FAFAFIGE brothers, so before you guys open you guys mouth about samoa, think first before shit comes out of your mouth, better yet that's what you guys need rite now is shit in your mouth....PEACE OUT...and have a wonderful day...

Terry, uuuummmm, sounds gay to me, anyhow, TERRY the only thing that will remain in history is the day your gay ass run in to a real samoan and tell him how you feel about samoans and how they are big for nothing..you know what Terry, if i was ever to go to jail, i would love to have you as a cellmate...bye Terry..

news flash Bill, these friends of yours you refer to as samoans, they're actually fijians disguise themselves as samoans, and if you think for a minute it's a cultural thing, then Billy you really need to check your friends, cause they're not samoans, cause we have to much pride in our culture to be curling our tails between our legs and run, and i wish i was next to you rite now so i can curl your head between my legs and run, and that's not me just starting something then back away from it..

PiLikAki stop defending and start accepting. The sooner you get off your high horse the better.

STOP talking big and show some RESPECT otherwise it will come back and bite you on the bum
...you know Fa'a Samoa....the Samoan way.

the only thing i have to accept is the fact that you're a very prejudice person, oh!!! now you wanna talk 2 me about fa'asamoa, i know my fa'asamoa, but when you put your hand in the fire, it's bound 2 get burn, maybe that's just the samoan in me defending my people whateva it takes, so don't talk 2 me about fa'asamoa, you want respect? give some maybe you might get some...
