I am 37 years of age and had been civil servant(clerk) for FIFTEEN years and wish to apply for British Army, because of High cost of living and less income due to Dec. coup. The price of goods is high and our pay is cut.

I understand your situation. I was in Fiji a couple of weeks ago and noticed the cost of living there. Thank god the "British army" is coming for recruitment. You might want to start saving money now becos when you get to London, the cost is 3times higher. Good luck.

Adi Vulase - Please explain what you mean by 'high income cost' and 'advance living conditions'. These terms are new to me.

Mr Davetawalu... The last I heard the British Army were age conscious. I'm not sure if you're 'too experienced' for them but I hope you aren't if that's what you wish to achieve. Nothing is impossible. Don't be put off by negative pot-shots, hit the track and go for it....

I'd be willing to subject myself to a little bit of cold if it meant financially making ends meet in secure employment.

Jeepers! That's two form 6 students with grammar problems. We should all note that the British (or any) Army should not be seen as an excuse for not making the most of being in school. Finish your studies well and you'll be able to pick and choose more.

To Mosese & Adi Vulase
Keep your dreams alive and keep working towards it. Never mind what people say, if overseas is your destiny, it will happen.
Stay positive and keep dreaming. DREAMS DO COME TRUE.

Don't be like "fili" whose stuck in his village of Namotomoto. You can live overseas and STILL support your brothers and sisters. BUT REMEMBER, DO NOT SUPPORT THE INTERIM GOVT. They are bunch of LOOSERS! The economy is declining becos uneducated people like VB and his like are holding Fiji hostage.

One things for sure, the brits will get a bunch of mindless moraless fodder if thats what their looking for. Is being in the army compulsory in fiji. Are army personel forced to beat their own people, and not report it. Is it army policy you aid criminals escape custody.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Sagittarius

Once again, the domestic atmosphere isn't exactly peaceful. Someone is still all worked up, and you may have come out in sympathy by now. Try to discuss things with as much objectivity as you can muster, otherwise, with Mars now retro, the conversation will soon disintegrate into a bad-tempered spat or a slanging match in which you try to catch one another out. It's important to clear the air.
