Why does argentina wish to punish the Falkland Islanders for something they did not do..?

That is, for a perceived crime that supposedly took place nearly 200 years ago..?

Why does argentina wish to punish us for something that may or may not have happened nearly 200 years ago..?

Is it hate?
Is it spite?
Is it bloody-mindedness?
Is it just simply the argentine character to want to inflict pain and suffering on other people?

Why..?

diego,

I didn't supposedly steal them, did I?

How could I steal them, I wasn't even born then?

So why are you punishing me for something you think/believe happened then?

Answer the question, why are we the "whipping boy"?

All we do is directed to the UK, you happen to be their human shield as the only argument they use is that they are "protecting" you
Are we supposed to do nothing and let them have their way just because they planted their people there and let time pass?
NO WAY
And remember that all the settlers who went there after 1833 knew that they were settling in a disputed land, and consequences of that were to be expected.
There were other places with a clean property title, still they moved to Malvinas at their own risk

You persist with this mantra that the islands are stolen, you are wronged etc. I have shown the legal case which fully supports the UK. So you are one hundred percent wrong. So as wrong doers you are never going to win. The UK is not going to cave-in to your bullshit.

Call it mantra if it pleases you.
Yes, that is our position, and, whatever you say, is strongly fundamented.
No point in repeating now things you will ignore without serious and objective consideration because you have previously decided to do so
And you have not done what you pretend, just posted biased opinions by british people, who put their Nation interests and strategies before anything, bjectivity included
The british had done it always, and are even proud of it. Justice for others, if it goes against the british interests, is something they do not hesitate in twisting.

Blame your ancestors
Blame whoever of them chose to move to Malvinas perfectly knowing that the sovereignity title was in dispute.
Or, better still...blame nobody, since your life is not threatened at all by the perspective of argentine sovereignity
Stop that unjustified paranoia.
And stop whining...nobody is harming you or "punishing" you
You use to boast about the islanders prosperity, nice life, etc...
So make your mind man...are you being "punished" or you are ok?
What a bunch of crybabies..

That is untrue the two sources were both Australian academics.
The one probably was of Scandinavian origin and the second scholar was probably from Africa.
What was interesting was their assertions, or their sources assertions where not necessarily based on the islands. I can't tell you with absolute certainty which way the issue would be decided legally.
Nor do I have nearly enough materials to aid in a better prediction of the outcome.
But, the only material I have found so far could not be described as helpful to Argentina.

What a bunch of crybabies..
Ancestors - maybe they did something to offend your ancestors, but I haven't..

YOU have imprisoned US..
YOU have threatened US with violence..
You have stopped air flights..
You have attempted to stop shipping and trade links to us..
You have demanded many other things...

It's seen that all this is designed to harm us Falkland Islanders, not the UK...
Yet you say you will only talk with the UK and not us..

So with the exception that I happen to live in the Falkland Islands, what have I done to deserve that possible punishment..?

I didn't steal anything in 1833 - how could I?

I wasn't even born that long ago..

Perhaps, you want to punish us for not wanting to annexe ourselves to that great and wondrous country called argentina.
Which incidentally, we see no other country neighbouring you clamouring to do so, so what is good for them might also be good for us..

Come on, if you try to convince me that you are victims suffering terribly by argentine actions you must believe I am a fool
Here are you crying and whining while at the same time telling us constantly how well and happy you are
Anyway, if your life is so unbearable, you know your options
We were not born when actions of our ancestors determined problems in our lives, and that is a Life Fact any human must accept
Your forefathers took the risk of settling in a Land with an unclean ownership title...if you are unease for the consequences of that, it may not be your fault, but of course neither is ours
You of course know that Britain expressely forbid from 1833 until now to allow argentines to buy land or properties in the Islands
That shows their awareness from time zero about the conflict they had created, and is another reason to make your pretended self detemination rights invalid.
And, again, stop talking as you were about to be handed over to the Taliban or the Cannibals, you insulting boy....you know perfectly that all your interests and lifestyle can be easily shielded in a Treaty...like the Hong Kong people are shielded again a communist superpower with a recent record in sojuzgating nations..many times worst than Argentina...a bloody dictatorship that controls press, who can leave the Country, the number of children you can have...
Fact is you are lying...you know perfectly that the UK wants the islands for a number of reasons, none of them being to fulfill your wishes about who do you prefer to appear as the sovereignity owner in the papers, which has nothing to do with your interests and is only a caprice, not a human right known by anybody.

ricardo,

did we commit any crime..?

As far as I can see, the answer is no..

The only crimes we have committed is being descended from our forbears and living in the land where we currently reside..

So again why attempt to punish us by wanting us either off this land or for us to become something we don't want to be - argentine..

It is not our fault or is it..?

Perhaps argentine logic is different to the rest of the world..?
We have done nothing except resist your lovely charms...

.
What absolute rubbish, it's garbage, ridiculous statement..

Easily proven, one example - Sr Renold Reid former proprietor/Licencee of the Victory bar, born and bred in argentina..
Died just after 1982, I think 1984.

Llamosa family, Estate Louie Williams, propietors of the Globe Tavern etc.
Currently owned by Fortuna Limited, purchased from the Williams family in 1983/4 who lived in argentina and all the family were argentine..
By the way, Williams arrived here pre 1941, before the claim was ressurected by Peron - happy days, we worked closely with argentina, both countries had business interests in the other, many friendships were made - now all that is gone and possibly forever..

Want any more examples..?

Claro....

Vos?.

Y vos quien sos?.

Que te debemos?.

Por què debemos preocuparnos por vos?.

Vos no sos nuestro problema....

Sos un problema de UK....

Quejate con UK....

If it is a territorial dispute why do you try to harm us the Falkland Islanders..?

On one hand you say we are argentine, so why attempt to restrict our activities..?

Britain, according to you has the sovereignty not us, so why not lift all the sanctions you have with the Falkland Islands and place sanctions against Britain instead?

Quien te castiga?.

No aceptar buques con la bandera de las islas es un castigo?.

No lo es en lo absoluto....

Es coherencia legal....

Te dejamos sin vuelos de Lan?.

No.... Deberiamos hacerlo....

Sanciones a UK?.
