Iam about to start working down in the falklands on an oil rig. Iam a uk citizen and live in the UK. The company will be paying 21% falklands islands income tax, will i still have to pay my tax to british goverment back home? If anyone is an expert on this please reply with some details. The rule used to be that you paid FI income tax, pension and NI, and also UK NI for the first 6 months. I was working for an FI Company, tha could have made a difference. Come to think of it though, their head office was in London.
