If muslims dont conform and integrate into the French society then they have no right to complain. They came to France, the French didn't come to them. They should be stared at and ridiculed and discriminated against until they blend into the society where they moved. If they dont like it THEY SHOULD NEVER HAVE COME IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

I have only been to France as a tourist and I did not witness any overt racism while there.

The US was one of many allies who fought in WWII. I was lucky enough to visit Normandie this year in June and was privileged to meet a Royal Marine Commando and thank him for his service. We saw the Anciens Combattants with all the veterans from the allied forces at a number of commemorative events. All the veterans deserve our gratitude.

I have 3 great uncles who left the US and went to Canada to join the RCAF and RAF prior to the US officially entering the war - one came home.

So personl attacks aside, What do you think about what I said? Dont you think that Muslims shouldnt complain about being treated different because of their dress and their social habbits if they have migrated to France? If They are going to come to France or any western country for ecnomic or political reasons they are the ones that need to change, not the society in the country they have moved to. You would get treated differently and get made fun of if you went to a Muslim country and you didnt conform to their social standards.

Maybe you are not aware that from June 18, 1940, there was also a French government in exile in London, led by General De Gaulle, that never recognised the armistist and decided to carry on fighting the NAZIs.

Many French soldiers fled to Britain. The French Free Forces participated in the war alongside the allies, fought in the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy, apart from having their own units. Some Free French pilots formed squadrons in the Soviet Air Force on the Eastern Front against Germany - never heard of the Normandy-Niemen Regiment?
French Free Forces were instrumental in the war against Germany in North Africa and the Italian campaign.
Probably that you have never heard about the French Resistance either, that fought a partisan war in France.
In June 1944, at the time of the Normandy landing to which they participated, Free French Forces numbered 800,000 and as France as liberated, they enroled more. Paris was liberated by French troops only. The total number of French troops at the end of the conflict in 1945 was 1.4 millions!

I know that for Americans who despise France, it is very convenient to ignore these facts and depict France as a country that wouldn't fight, surrendered and wholeheartedly collaborated with the NAZIs; the truth is rather different!

Why do you think the French leadership was invited to allies conferences during the war, or were given a permanent seat to the Security Council at the UN, or a sector in Germany after the war?

There was a collaborator regime in South of France, but its role was negligeable to the outcome of the war. It was mostly a front for Gestapo activities against the French population and wasn't recognised by any other party. France tried and punished most of its collaborators after the war.

This A-Hole that murdered all those people at Ft Hood yesterday is just another part of "OUR" shared problem Roberto. Like your problems in France we are also having problems with an Incompatible
religion with our modern western values. Even in my State of Arizona only a a few kilometers from where I live A Muslim immigrant ran down and killed his own daughter because she was becoming too westernized. I dont think that Muslims that have had no real contact with the west should be allowed into any western country to live. They are too Immature and have too radical views to think that Islam is a Ultra violent religion in a modern world. Mid-evil hillbillies should have NO place in western society.
