You really think we're all human beings? In that case why didn't Osama bin Laden get Nobel Prize? By God he did more to deserve it than Baruck Obuma.

There are several homophobic types; the self loathing closeted people who are particularly vicious, the guilt ridden sexually inhibited and, by and large, the ignorant.

The ignorant are easy to spot with their stereotyping and spouting long debunked theories. The self loathers are equally easy to locate by their vitriol.

The inhibited don't usually discuss these subjects;0)

Do you ever wish for an intelligent person who can express a logical thought without rancour? I do!

A beautiful song and it looks like a heart breaker of a movie. I've bookmarked it.

Ever been to Dachau? It's hauntingly sad.

And Teresienstadt, and Bergen-Belsen, and Treblinka, and ...

It's beyond words.

Stalin was far worse, but not so ... uh ... mechanistic. Yes, he was worse, but think of the survivors ... the ones who carried out his orders. THEY are the parents of the current Russians.

Does it explain a little?

True, it's difficult to know what goes/went on in Russia......the very size of it can hide a multitude of atrocities. I know people today who are still amazed at the ability to travel anywhere they wish....without permission and papers. So very sad.

That's a frightening thought.

THat's fast disappearing.

Putin's Agent Provocateur thugs in Eastern Ukraine have passed out leaflets requiring all Jews to register or be expelled.

I expect the more direct persecutions and expulsions to come later.

Pogrom has a long history in that part of the world.

"Cleansing" seems to be endemic to certain regions of the world. It suggests that there is something about "orthodoxy" that not just predicates it, but tends towards it.

Adherence to the known is much less frightening than embarking on a journey to the unknown.
