Ok, so it is newsworthy that the Greek or Roman statue of a Greek goddess is found in FYROM. What does that tell us? Unless it is a statue of Tito with an inscription in the pseudomacedonian language, it tells us one thing only, that whoever lived up there at the time and owned that statue was following the Greek religion.<quoted text>
Just because they find stuff everyday doesn't not mean that it is a find of great value. This one is which makes it very newsworthy.

You have no idea who the people in my video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch... )are? And then what do you show for comparison purposes? 5 Gerkomans in a cafe. That doesn't compare to the 1000 Lerinsko area folk dancing Macedonians sing patriotic songs on the Macedonian Liberation Day (Ilinden). |

I like to pick on Greeks from Illinois, because the make NO SENSE. Just like this post! |
It's those Greek lands that were originally Albanian that are most dear to us! All around the borders there are areas and villages that were wrongfully assigned to Greece in the peace treaties after the Balkan Wars. The people were either expelled as in Chamaria or as you call it southern Epir or subjected to endlees attempts at assimilation. Your mispronounced Chamiko dance is from these people and your national costume is as well. Even the real heros of your lberation movement were Albanian. Unless you are one of those Asiatic Greeks, you too might be of this noble blood. |
There is a great difference between the Greeks and the Albanians. Just visit the Greek towns in North Epirus to find about the differences... |
actually your post doesnt make sense... i never met a skopjian....actually i knew a serb in grammar school who turned into a "macedonian" and wouldnt talk to me anymore...but i like canadian...toronto is a nice s city what part of illinois have u been to |
What you're saying there is exactly the philosophy upon which their human rights 'pleading' is based on! |
First, you are offtopic. Secondly, the Arvanites are Greek too. Those living in the area of Paramythia you call Chamerians sided with the occupation forces during the 2nd world war and had to leave in 1944. That was a pity, It was their decision. They could have stayed but made the wrong decision though under difficult circumstances. However, there have been equally Greeks living in what is today considered Albania and indeed for some years (1914-1921) Northern Epirus had been an autonomous area and demanded to be united with Greece. If you try to redefine history, it may work out against you. |

Kanaris,Tzavelas and other Albanian speaking Greeks f#cked alot of Albanian a#ses in Revolution,so stop claim them as Albanians, their hands killed countless Albanian murders working for Turks. |

1 What part of Asia Minor are you from? Salonic was repopulated by fools like you to make it appear Greek. You were the ass-wipes of your Turkish masters while the Albanian kept there pride and dignity during those times. What is an Albanian speaking Greek? I have never met a Greek who was capable of learnig our noble language. Oh, I am sorry but our Archbishop now speaks it pretty well but of course his background is from Preveza---now that explains it. |
Yeah they really kept their pride when they converted to Islam to obey their Turk masters. You're really starting to bore everyone. What's so noble about your language? From what I read here http://www.albanian.com/main/culture/language... its anything but. I just wonder why is an Albo on a Greek forum on a thread about ruins in Macedonia. Sounds like you just want to be a troublemaker. So typical. |
But I have a question: Can a person born anywhere in Macedonia become a citizen of the Skopje state, that claims to be the 'Republic of Macedonia'???? |
Souli is an area of Albanian Epir from which many heroes have been celebrated in Greece. Once again Albanians play a special role in your history. Do like having an Albanian name? |
yes thanasi you country is quite special....maybe thats why so many people go their for work or education...i was laugh at the term great albania the two words should not go together :)

Dear Mr.Skatapopoulis, Albania when measured by the quality of its natural beauty and its people is far superior to Greece. It is a tolerant nation, unlike yours where your main objective is to make everyone a Geek and a so called Orthodox beleiver. Without the years of charity from the west, of whom you seem incapable of really embracing, Greece would just be another Scurvia. You are the ODD member of Nato and the EU, I am sure they wonder if they should have allowed Turkey in instead of you. As for the quality of the Greek people, just notice the low level of comments posted and the vulgar references you are capable of when you don't get your own way. |
