But look what you are:
Krste Misirkov wrote: 1. We speak Bulgarian language and we believed with Bulgarians is our strong power. 2. The Bulgarians in Macedonia. The future of Macedonia is spiritual union of the Bulgarians in Macedonia. 3. The Macedonian Slavs are called Bulgarians. 4. The biggest part of the population are called Bulgarians. 5. All spoke that Macedonians are Bulgarians. Until 1978 all including Russian Government spoke the Macedonians are Bulgarians. But after the Berlin Congress the Serbs came with pretension to have Macedonia. They try to change the European opinion that in Macedonia there are Serbian too. 6. If Ilinden uprising win we will be thankful to Bulgarians, but Serbians try to compete with Bulgarians and spend a lot of money and propaganda. If Macedonia is autonomic there will be no space for propaganda and the Serbs have to leave Bulgarian in peace. 7. The Ilinden Uprising Committee is Bulgarian. 8. Bulgarian Language and Bulgarian name. The Committee is ready to give guarantee to Europe that Macedonia will not unify with Bulgaria, but they can't take the Bulgarian name and language from Macedonia! 9. Unification between Turks and Bulgarians in Macedonia. Serbia and Greece do not want to give us autonomous and independent Macedonia, because they see this as a fist step to unification. In Macedonia have only pure Bulgarian population, which can't be unified with the Turks. 10. Serbia is against autonomous Macedonia. Serbia is afraid because Macedonia with the Bulgarian population will have tendency to united with Bulgaria and for this reason Serbia will not allow this. 11. They divided us and now they do not allow us to unify. We are living now 25 years divided from Bulgaria and they do not allow us to unify? We call ourselves Bulgarians or Macedonians and see us as separate and radically different from the Serbs with Bulgarian national consciousness. 12. Our Grandfathers call themselves Bulgarians. They never thing that we will be having such a problem to call ourselves so. 13. Bulgarian Literally Language. We the Macedonians voluntarily choose one and the same language with Bulgarians long before the liberation of Bulgaria from Turkey. The prohibition from the Serbs to use our literally language, which is the only one connection between us and Bulgarians is significant violation of our human rights... and further.. when they forbid us to call ourselves Bulgarians, to learn Bulgarian history and to be ashamed from everything which connect us with Bulgarians. It is enough to learn our Macedonian culture and history to understand that we are very different from Serbian nationality. 14. There no difference between Bulgarian and Macedonian Slav. The Greeks in 1804 long before Bulgarian exarchate do not make any difference between Bulgarian and West Macedonian dialect. 15. Bulgarian national name of Macedonians. In the IX century in the first Bulgarian kingdom we do not have anything against this Bulgarian national name for us and for the rest of Bulgarians in Bulgaria. 16. We Macedonian Bulgarians (Macedonians) like Bulgarian state as our own. |

You are naive if you think that we have to "look" what Krste Misirkov wrote, to find out what we are.... The History and the Whole World knows about Greece. Hho is this K.Misirkov ? I guess not even his own mother know about him, Better read and use such writers for your "selfsatisfaction" among the Slavoscopjian participants and keep congratulating one the other for "who will say the bigest lie" be a little serious, miss |

1 Nikola Gruevski is either trying to broaden the agenda concerning his country’s relationship with Greece, to justify his forthcoming retreat concerning the name issue, or he believes that Europe and the US are so sensitive on “minority issues” that they will support him in his campaign to allegedly uphold the rights of his kinsmen in neighboring countries, including Greece. If the former is true, Gruevski is convinced that the unity and prosperity of his country is guaranteed only through membership of the Euro-Atlantic Alliances, but being fully aware that no Greek government will ever agree to the entry of FYROM to these alliances without the name issue being resolved, he is preparing the ground to compromise with a composite name. Hence, to sweeten the pill on the name compromise internally, he will try to sell the “guarantee” of a “Macedonian ethnicity” not only as a right of self-identification, but through international agreements. Greece, ofcourse, will not agree with this and neither does Mr. Nimitz desire to broaden the scope of his negotiation brief. If the latter is true, Gruevski is sliding down a dangerous path, and is trying to create problems where they don’t exist and to open wounds which Europe has closed now for decades. These actions remind us of the ultra-nationalist objectives of the Kazinsky brothers last year (President and Prime Minister of Poland), who 60 years after the end of WWII, demanded that Europe compensate them for the actions of the Nazis. Not only did they fail in achieving their objectives, but they also exposed and humiliated their country in the eyes of Brussels and their European partners. With the irredentist aspirations which Gruevski promotes, he is developing into the “trouble maker of the Balkans”, and this will have consequences for both himself and his country. The stigma of the dangerous nationalist does not disappear easily in the Balkans. This was a painful discovery for the Serbians who lived through the dismemberment of their country because Slobodan Milosevic started to play the nationalist card in 1989. Gruevski is trying to become a “hero” internally in his country without being concerned about the fact that externally he is beginning to be viewed as a pariah. The violence that marked the recent elections in FYROM was the first disturbing indication. This was followed, last Thursday, by the arrest of the deputy leader and future leader of the opposition. His next objective is the complete control of the mechanisms of power in FYROM through the forthcoming local elections. This problem does not only concern Greece, against which Gruevski now makes various unfounded but dangerous claims, but Bulgaria also and the entire region. Europe and the US should not only discourage him, but are obliged to stop him, now that it is still early. |

1 The letter officially sheds light on the plight of Aegean Macedonians; exiled from their homes in what is now Northern Greece, and disallowed from returning to their birthplaces unless they declare themselves as ethnically Greek. This is a first concrete step by any Macedonian government to resolve this issue conclusively. For too long and for various reasons has this issue been avoided. The response of Prime Minister Karamanlis to Prime Minister Gruevski’s letter is farcical. Athens continues to stonewall and deny these people their birthright. Karamanlis went as far as denying that a Macedonian minority in Greece exists or has ever existed! Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and the United Nations all recognize the existence of a sizable Macedonian minority in Aegean Macedonia/Northern Greece. The Macedonians of Greece have their own political party (Rainbow Party Vinozhito) and many other obvious proofs (e.g., documentaries, pictures, history books). The flight of 28,000 Macedonian child refugees during the Greek Civil War is equally incontrovertible. Even today, in 2008, the Macedonians of Northern Greece continue to experience systemic discrimination by the Greek government. In countless documented instances, they have been arrested, threatened and attacked by government officials or Neo-Nazi groups. In fact, these Macedonians must publicly renounce their Macedonian consciousness in order to obtain favorable standing in employment, education, and other spheres of their daily lives; a condition that was clearly documented in the 1994 Human Rights Watch report entitled Denying Ethnic Identity: the Macedonians of Greece. Furthermore, Macedonians that were exiled from Greece during the Greek Civil War in the late 1940s are still banned from returning to their birthplaces. They are routinely denied restitution of property by the Greek government, and cannot obtain Greek citizenship despite being born on in Greece. UMD and MHRMI appeal to the Greek government to meet all obligations under EU regulations, UN conventions, and international human rights law. It is Greece’s responsibility to respect the rights of its Macedonian citizens and to honor the numerous international treaties it has signed. These demands do not have a nationalistic agenda, but rather, are based on simple belief in the justice system, and the desire for a favorable outcome for these Macedonians. The legal and democratic principles upon which the European Union exists must be respected by all members, including the Hellenic Republic. |

You can be very funny... You are talking about how "bad" is copy/pasting and suddently you post all these propagandistic lies from your country's media... "Even today, in 2008, the Macedonians of Northern Greece continue to experience systemic discrimination by the Greek government. In countless documented instances, they have been arrested, threatened and attacked by government officials or Neo-Nazi groups." Where on earth do you see that...? You just have to visit Greece and you will see that nothing is real of what you copied and pasted... |

I have a simple question to all people living under the Skopje regime that proclaims to be the 'Republic of Macedonia': Can a person born anywhere in Macedonia obtain citizenship with your state? It's a simple and honest question, so I'm looking for an honest and simple answer. Thank you. |
