The Chinese Communist Party has a long history of intentionally destroying the cultural heritage of China so that it could be used as convenient "enemies" or "olds" to scapegoat and draw attention away from the murder, corruption, and incompetence of the CCP dictators, and to eliminate any competition in culture or ideas of course.

So, it is not surprising that a regime like the CCP with a POLICY of DESTROYING CHINA'S CULTURAL HERITAGE produces little Communist Red Guard BARBARIAN VANDALS like this!

What ELSE can come of such a regime BUT BARBARIAN VANDALS?

Such SHAME this regime brings to China!

What do you expect from a first generation family in China's first modern global and/or industrial age.

The boys action probably represents what many feel in China.

Last time a major historical sculpture/artifact was destroyed it was the Taliban taking down statues thousands of years old. Saw what that was a prescusor to.

Cultural Revolution in Tibet

The Cultural Revolution arrived in Lhasa in July 1966. Red Guards entered Jokhang Temple two months later and destroyed or desecrated everything they could. Over the next few years, monasteries were destroyed with dynamite and artillery, libraries were looted and rare books and painting were burned. Buddhist scriptures were used as wrapping paper and to make shoe soles. Monks were forced to wear blue suits instead of their reddish brown robes and some were forced to work for years on communes digging vegetables.

Buddha was declared a reactionary and the Dalai Lama was called a criminal. Festivals, pilgrimages and partying were banned. Some Tibetans were forced to cut their hair. Others had to learn a new "friendship language" that incorporated Chinese and Tibetan words in weird ways. By the time it was over 99 percent of Tibet's 6,000 religious monasteries, temples and shrines were looted or totally destroyed and hundreds of thousands of sacred Buddhist scriptures were destroyed.

"When the order went out, Smash the feudalistic nests of monks!," Paul Theroux wrote, "the soldiers, Red Guards and assorted vandals made chalk marks all over the monasteries—save these timbers, stack these beams, pike the bricks, and so forth. Brick by brick, timber by timber, the monasteries were taken down. The frugal, strong-saving, clothes-patching, shoe-mending Chinese saved each reusable brick. In this way the monasteries were made into barns and barracks.”

Many of teh Red Guards in Tibet were Tibetans. One former Tibetan member of the Red Guards told the Washington Post, "At the time, I didn't really think about it because we were young. Now as I get older I have regrets."

Dalai lama used cruely ruled tibetan people, he and his ancestors carried out serfdom, millions of tibetan people were enslaved and didn't have humanrights.
in history, Tibet was an autonomous council and candidates of dalai lama and the panchen needed to be approved by Chinese central government in Beijing, so tibet was, is and will be Chinese territory since ancient times rather than 1951.

in 1951, the winning CCP entered tibet, where was still under the dulocracy of Dalai lama and landowners. PLA liberated tibetan people who were murdered arbitrarily by rulers, overthrowing old system, and distributed land to serfs. Since then tibetans became their own owners.

Dalai was a liar, he recognized he thought he was a dear son of Mao, which meant he totally bowed to CCP. He fled overseas because tibetan people wanted to eat his flesh and drink his blood, and he is a loser with no ability to take away what he had lost. He can only rumor to lie you stupid westerners, so much so that you awarded such a murderer nobel peace prize.
It is so shamful.

what CCP has done in tibet in cultural revolution was totally for people, for who were poor and oppressed for sure instead of former oppressors, so former oppressors were criticized and struggled down to death in people's anger, they deserved it.

It's not that big of a deal. It was innocent and childish. Whereas this act was absolutely hateful....

LOL you poor scum.
You are the one who was brainwashed by your government, as they need a group of anti-China people to help bring shame on China. Yes you are one of them. so poor...

I've read historical classics and it was proved true that tibet had submit itself to the rule of Chinese central government since Yuan dynasty(1271~1368) since then it has become a part of China.

I don't know how your press described but given your speech they are total liars and shameless dumbs.

I mean this was the biggest massacre by a govt of it's own students in the history of the world. It needs to be remembered.
In Taiwan we will remember the students that died in vain. also in HK they will do the same. All over the world it will be remembered.
Dozy hoe, after June 4, tell me me about alzheima
