Ecuador says Britain threatened embassy assault

Ecuador's government said Wednesday that Britain had threatened to storm its embassy in London to arrest WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who is seeking political asylum in the South American country.

It's an embassy, not a region.

It's hard to believe that the UK secretly make a deal for oil leases and releases the Pan Am bomber yet is going after the man who probably told the world about it. I hope they go and get him , it will end the sanctity of all embassies for ever.

well , Julian must be the first man in history to get asylum for a rape charge. What next? if being charged or accused of rape is a reason for asylum, nearly ever black male in S Africa is eligible to go to Ecuador.
