we say we have sp[anish blood its because we do,all you have to do is look at our skin color to tell that, read our history to know that, but you can only understand what it is to not have an identitie..we as dominicans that bled for our independance understand deeplly what it is to be dominican and what it means NOT TO BE HAITIAN.im sorry you can never know what its like to be spanish.just because some of us are black doesent mean we use the one drop rule that your slave masters in the south taught you..remember we killed our slave masters...so take you self ritchious afro-centic behind back to the south before you shit on a country witch such past and honor. BLACK AMERICAN PRINCE wrote: like Smmy Sosa? Black Dominicans wish they were white so badly that they cling to every drop of white blood they have in their veins, proud that their great grandmothers were nothing more than cumbuckets for wealthy white Spaniards - the real Dominicans. Black Americans are mixed as well, look at Beyonce,Keri Hilson, Ciara, etc. but the difference is that we don't go around bragging about it, we don't really care. Dominicans say they don't see things in black and white but are the first to yell and scream at the top of their lungs how their great-great-great grandfather was a white Spaniard, while Black Americans never even give our white ancestry a thought, because black or white we are still American. Dominicans are pathetic blacks who wish they were Hispanic/Latino when everyone knows that real latinos are white or white/indian. They are just the slaves of Latinos.

I did not mention them. We have English and Irish blood as well, all you have to do is read our history or look at us to know that lol but do you hear us calling ourselves English? Of course not that would be pathetic, we have our own identity without having to cling to the identity of our white slave masters, like Dominicans. Dominicans are proud of the fact that their great grandmothers were WHORES and CUM BUCKETS for white Spanish men this is a source of great pride for them.. Despite this most of you like like Africans. Very dark.

If Dominicans are so "Euro admixed" then why do so many of them bleach their skin to be lighter? Real mixed people (like Puerto Ricans or Brazilians) don't have to bleach themselves for light skin. I read somewhere that Dominican Republic has the highest rate of skin bleaching in Latin American, hmm I wonder why, probably because you guys are so dark and want to be light like REAL Latinos. Face it, most latinos consider you "los negros" and not real Latinos. Even when you come to America most people look at you as black, not Latino because you do not look like REAL latinos, who are light brown to white skinned.

Honey, I am Dominican and all of my family is light skinned, good hair, colored eyes, etc. 89% of Dominicans are MULATTO/WHITE. & yes we do "cling" to our Spanish ancestry because while African Americans might have white in them, they come from AFRICA. If it were not for Spaniards, DOMINICANS WOULD NOT EXIST. Our FOUNDING FATHERS were WHITE, as was our WHOLE COUNTRY until the AFRICAN SLAVES which made up Haiti invaded our country and raped our women, and not to mention destroyed our economy. Our ancestors were not slaves of Spaniards, you are very sadly uninformed.

I am Haitian and study in Dominican Republic, Dominican people are so stupid when it comes to color, they all wanna be white. Even the black ones keep saying " I am not black, i am indian "

Dominicans are pathetic blacks who wish they were Hispanic/Latino when everyone knows that real latinos are white or white/indian. They are just the slaves of Latinos. I don't know a single Dominican who wishes they were white or says they're white. I know some Dominicans that obviously have partial African ancestry say dumb stuff like,'Oh, my ancestors are all Taino and Spanish,'(I just respond well if that were true, then you and the rest of the Dominican Republic would look a lot more like Mexico and other Mestizo majority nations which we all know you don't). But for the most part, Dominicans don't claim to be white or black. They claim mixed ancestry which is accurate for Dominicans in MOST cases. I am an American of Colombian and Dominican ethnicity. I also happen to be of African and (partial) Spanish descent. In America, I am considered Latino/Hispanic because I have origins in spanish speaking Latin American countries. Why can't you people accept that Latinos come in all flavors? Why is that such a hard concept to grasp? Black people don't brag about being mixed?!??! LMFAO! Please tell me your joking! Everyone knows Black Americans LOVE to brag about their (nonexistent) Indian grandma's, and how they're part this and part that as if claiming mixed ancestry is better than just saying pure black. AA prize light skin, despise pure African features, and you hate being called 'African' or being tied to Africa in any way and I know MANY AA who would confirm what I said. So before you go judging Dominicans, you should really fix your own self hate issues that resides in your own group. Its like calling the kettle black.

Dear Black American Hater, You are a f*cking a**hole with no apparent life. You pissed me off right there. I'm f**king hispanic, I don't give a flying f*ck what you say. I DO have light skin, and I'm hispanic. You're just jealous and know that some dominicans have light skin,(not like you, blackass obviously) and decide to diss them so you feel they have dark skin, like you. F*cking strawman. Go die in a hole.

Brianna Pena wrote: <quoted text> LMFAO! No colorism in the AA community? Yep, that's a lie! call a dominican 'black' who's as black as any other black person in the world, and see what happens. hispanic culture conditions people to gravitate toward european standards of beauty. so you'll see all kinds of mostly indian looking mestizos self-identifying as white, and afro-latinos self-identifying as 'indio' or even white when they clearly aren't. there's some colorism among aa and especially in the south. but everyone understands that they're 'black' and belong to the same race regardless of how light they maybe. people might use 'redbone' or 'yellow bone' to describe someone, but aa don't separate based on color. you want hear a light skinned aa use the 'n'-word towards a darker skinned aa, as though they were white. and it's like the comment i was responding to 'we got more beyonces than you', said with so much pride. whoa! that felt like fingernails scratching a blackboard reading it. this is exactly what i mean about the conditioned mind of the hispanic. aa don't think like that at all, as we believe in being proud of our aa ancestry. particularly the africans who made up the slave trade - yoruba, igbo, fulani, hausa, ashanti, mandinka. do you even know who these people are? look up 'afro-asiatic dominion'. your african blood is royalty and literally connected to the priestly lines of abraham!
