Sure, Eritrea can bring their artillery up to the mountaintop and close the US base... umhum, sure, they could do that for about 5 minutes

This guy is an absolute nut job. I was on Camp Lemonier (Africom HQ) for 15 months and spent most of that time on the arid northern border region of Djibouti and Eritrea. Where is this high ground the author speaks of? I've seen it, and it ain't no Golan Heights dude. Camp Lemonier is waaaaaay down South. 15 clicks from the Somalia border. Has this guy even stepped foot in Djibouti?
What's this garbage about Djibouti invading Eritrea? Never happened EVER. FACT. I vividly remember the Djioubtian military buildup and transporting of tanks being rolled in from the South because of the ERITREAN incursion. FACT. I was there, this douche wasn't.
Six billion dollar fiasco he says? This guy has absolutely no idea what he's talking about. It is a base of operations that is doing nothing but great things for the continent. In Uganda, Kenya, Djibout, and even Ethiopia (when they let us) we are digging wells, building schools, vaccinating animals (was a lot of fun!), and setting up field hospitals in isolated communities. Providing mosquito nets to combat malaria. It was such an awesome experience to be a part of, and made me proud to be a part of Africom. It's not handouts like the arabs like to do while we compete for influence in the region. Instead we are encouraging and teaching the locals how to be self sufficient with time and effort. Now, tell me how that's a fiasco? Oh and while this dude's living in Eritrea I hope he's enjoying the repressive regime. If it's not a horrible regime, then why are there so many refugees fleeing to Israel via the Egyptian Sanai?? Israel of all places?? Must be really bad in Eritrea. Google it.

This guy must be high on drugs. He describes himself as the last white man in Eritrea. I just wonder why. Because every sane person has left the country due to the repressive regime of the lunatic Issay-ass.

Right on brother! I'm getting ready to head over to Camp Lemonier. Anything this gal should know before I head out? What should I bring since I'm limited on pounds for my flight? PGI alone is enough to make me choke!

The article is highly unprofessional! It is biaised and the author doesn't have a clue on the situation on the ground. The Camp Lemonier american base is located in the capital-city, which lies around 120km from the Djibouti/Eritrea border.
Second, it's not Djibouti who invaded Eritrea but pretty much the other way around.

I can't beleive what I'm reading, this is not serious, it doesn't even deserve comments.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Capricorn

Someone is being very pedantic and picky, and they'll soon drive you round the bend with frustration. They're splitting hairs about all sorts of petty problems, but unfortunately you won't be immune from this yourself. You might get caught up in needless details that don't really matter, or take everything that happens very personally. Try to be more objective.
