I found out that I may have a son who lived or still lives in Djibouti. His Mother was ETHIOPIAN. Her maiden name was AMARESCH ALLEMU. Her grave is in Djibouti . If anybody knows about her or her son ( who should be now in his middle age } PLEASE contact me .
I would greatly appreciate all the advice I could get about a way to search for him in Djibouti.
Knowing that this ad is a far shot I also believe that: " ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD " in Whom we trust !

Thank you so much !

I am not an expert on tracking missing lo
ve ones, but the little help I can give hoping that it may be as useful to you as possible.

First: If your son had been a Djibouti citizen and he had an Identity card or a passport or had been registered to a primary school believe me you stood a great chance of finding him, because there you can trace back his first or last known address or from the school you can still trace back his records, including exams taken, teachers names, year, transfer letters etcc......and from there you can appraoch the pupils themselves, because his been to school of course he must have friends or other pupils who may have known him for the last couple of years.

Secondly: Try to approach the ONG, by phone, e-mail or by video link. Djibouti officials are corrupted and to extract the little info that they may pocess you need to spend a bit of cash here and there but be very vigiliant, because they will try to feed you with false info just to get hold of your hard cash.

Thirdly: Be on the field with someone who is well known, rent a vehicule because the public trans port is virtually second to none.

AND GOOD LUCK IN YOUR RESEARCH MY FRIEND.

I might be able to help. Do you have a last known address, or the date of her death?

THANK YOU ABDI ! That is all very valuable advice .! What is ONG ? I would not know which schools my son visited. He ought to be about 42 years now . I think i have first to find information about AMARESH ALLEMU his mother . Is there a place in Djibouti were death certificates are registered ?. His mother died around 1993- 1996 Sorry i am answering so late but already hadgiven up hope for any answer .

I think what Abdi means is "NGO"`s, that is the english version of the french equivalent "ONG", sort of like OTAN is to NATO. There should be some records of him somewhere if we can trace his birth-mothers name and address when she died, then once we have his name work it from there. As Abdi correctly said records here are not computerized, stacks of huge record Books, and very corrupt officials. The same place that issues birth records issue death records, it is a study in in-efficiency, Ive been there a few times and the people are difficult to work with. The trick will be to get the old "real" record as when a white man walks in and ask`s for something they will smell money and may produce some new looking record just to make a buck. Lets see what we can do... I feel for you as I just found a son in the Philipines recently after looking for the last 16 years. If your son knows your name, he may be searching for you thru the internet, try plugging your name in some different ways and see what happens.

You're swayed by your emotions today, making you susceptible to other people's machinations. Are you putty in the hands of your beloved? Are you willing to do whatever, just to keep the peace? Watch out for the influence of another's black mood, or you'll soon start to feel just as miserable. Fortunately this strange mood won't last long.
