Dutch judge says MP's comments on Islam are within the law

THE HAGUE - A DUTCH court ruled on Monday that far-right MP Geert Wilders, who earned worldwide attention after releasing an anti-Islam film in March, did not break the law when he called the Koran a 'fascist book'.

The Dutch Islamic Federation NIF filed a legal complaint against Mr Wilders for his comments, which preceded the release of his film 'Fitna', portraying the Koran as a 'fascist book' and the Muslim prophet Mohammed as 'a barbarian.'

The NIF argued that Mr Wilders was inciting hatred against Muslims and should be convicted of discrimination and forced to print a rectification.

But on Monday, the Dutch court ruled that Mr Wilders' comments 'were not considered to be unlawful'.

The court agreed with Mr Wilders that as a member of parliament he should be able to convey his views in public debate, even if they are considered harsh.

Last month, Mr Wilders posted his 17-minute-long film on the Internet.

Featuring shocking imagery of the 2001 attacks on New York along with the 2004 ones in Madrid, combined with quotes from Islam's holy book, the movie has sparked outrage in some Muslim countries.

In the last weeks there have been protests against the film in Pakistan, Iran, Indonesia and Afghanistan.

Finally the liberals are lossing control as conservatives like Geert gain political power and are now left to clean up this mess the ultra liberals have left behind.

Reality check Khalid... Geert in reality did nothing of the sort.

What Geert did was broadcast videos of Actual Muslims doing terrible deeds, it may not be the majority of Muslims but real videos of Readical Muslims, and he posted actual Qu'ranic verses. That's it!

If this is offensive to you you should rather be offended at the Muslims in the video promoting hatred in the name of Islam. If the verses offend you maybe you should consider converting.

Apparently if the quote or verse out of the Koran isn't a nice one, they always get mad and throw a tantrum, accusing us of "saying" things that are hateful to Islam and being slanderous to muslim. Unfortunately, it's sad and funny at the same time because it makes you think..... are they so ignorant they didn't know it was in there, or they realize that were not like chattel- we actually can read for ourselves what is in there. Somehow, I feel that they've been brainwashed to believe conversion to Islam was going to be possible and easy. What we didn't know about 5 years ago, most of us are quite enlightened to the topic. Thus, I am not sure that they don't know about the ugliness in the Koran or they don't like it when someone finds out. At any rate, it's their life.

It is sad and funny at the same time. In their culture they are not allowed to question Islam or think, in our culture we can even as Christians look into all facts and make a educated decision.

There is no fear in Christianity people become Christian because they know, in Islam they follow blind and never question Islam without raising suspicion amongst other Muslims.

I noticed they always say the Qu'ranic verses were taken out of context although I have yet to see a Muslims actually explain the verses and give us the alleged alternative meaning they suggest exists.

I have read the verse and the verses before and after, they simply are not kind verses to say it in the nicest way possible. Certainly Muhammad is the false prophet warned about in the Bible, no doubt about that.

I really, really hate to say this, but as I read Mr. Wilder's question...."why can’t the European liberal establishment see the same thing?", the answer is, unfortunately because of Hitler. Hitler made it shameful to be European. The greatest swindle that the world ever pulled was convincing the world that Beethoven was an Austrian and that Hitler was a German. The main difference between white Americans and white Europeans is said in it's full interity in While Europe Slept. White Americans are fully vocal in their dislike of cultures they find offensive. They think and they say it. White Europeans, they feel it, they know it, but they've been trained for 60 years to deny those feelings, so they try and convince themselves mentally that they shouldn't feel that and then they don't say anything. It's kinda like a hate/love relationship. They've been on a guilt trip for so long because of the Jews that they've been wearing rose tinted glasses for a few decades now and just now they are getting knocked off. Whether those feelings have merit of not, whether socialism looks all nice and cozy, the bottom line is that cultures are not tolerant of one another and if Europe doesn't wake up they are going to go by the wayside. I'll never forget the first time I went to Denmark in the 70's and people kept asking me left and right, "so you're from Florida, you hate blacks, right?". Because I was from the South I was assumed to dislike Blacks. Wow. Anyway, thanks for the link.
