Top ten reasons I know that Islam is not a militant religion:
By: Justin Maaia
To all people who are surrounded by the propaganda regarding Islam that is a result of the 9/11 bombings and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. All references are to verses in the Koran.

10. Islam is not anti-semitic. The Koran states,“We made a covenant of old with the Children of Israel and you have nothing of guidance until you observe the Torah and the Gospel”(5:70, 68)

9. Allah is not a wrathful God. God’s compassion and mercy are cited 192 times in the Koran; only 17 references are made to his wrath and vengeance.

8. Islam does not condone terrorism.“Defend yourself against your enemies, but do not attack them first: God hates the aggressor”(2:190)

7. Islam does not seek to convert the world.“Let there be no compulsion in religion”(2:257)

6. Islam is tolerant of other religions.“To every one we have given a law and a way…And if God had pleased, he would have made [all humankind] one people [people of one religion]. But he hath done otherwise, that He might try you in that which He hath severally given unto you: wherefore press forward in good works. Unto God shall ye return, and He will tell you that concerning which ye disagree.”(5:48) Once, when a deputy of Christians visited him, Muhammad invited them to conduct their service in his mosque, adding,“It is a place consecrated to God.”

5. Jihad does not mean “holy war.” It means “struggle.” Muhammad stated, after returning from a victory against the Meccans who had been hostile and oppressive to his followers:“We have returned from the lesser jihad, to face the greater jihad.” In other words, jihad primarily refers to the struggle against the evil within oneself.

4. Islam is a religion of peace. Whenever Muslims great people, it is with the arabic phrase “as-salamu ‘alaykum,” which means “Peace be upon you.”

3. Ibn ‘Arabi, a popular and revered Islamic mystic, stated:“My heart had opened unto every form. It is a pasture for gazelles, a cloister for Christian monks, a temple for idols, the Ka’ba of the pilgrim, the tablets of the Torah and the book of the Koran. I practice the religion of Love; in whatsoever directions its caravans advance, the religion of Love shall be my religion and my faith..

2. Islam is misrepresented by the American media and American emails. A recent Smithsonian article documented how 300,000 people gathered to celebrate the message of peace and love during the festival of the Islamic saint Qalandar. Meanwhile, about 300 people gathered to witness a beheading advertised by a group of Taliban. Which one of these gatherings did you hear about in the news?

And the number one reason I know that Islam is not a militant religion…

1. All of the Muslims I know were more afraid of me than I was of them when I first met them.

If Muhammad was truly a prophet and an apostle, then Muslims must defend the indefensible.

Muslims find they must follow the example of a man who was a short tempered, arrogant slave owner who called black people "raisin heads."

He also appears as a vengeful, bitter man "who had numerous people murdered when they got on his bad side," says Morey.

In contrast to our sinless Lord Jesus, the many Hadith verses show Muhammad as a sinner in need of forgiveness.

Hadith no. 319, vol. 8 quotes Muhammad: "By Allah! I ask for forgiveness from Allah and turn to him in repentance more than seventy times a day." Yet, many modern followers of Muhammad will claim that Muhammad was sinless.

Muhammad's sexual appetite is the subject of several of the Hadith verses. Besides a harem of over 20 women, he would pick and choose among the captured slave girls, giving them to his friends if they were not beautiful enough.

"The Hadith makes the claim that he was able to have sex with all of them (his 16 wives, 2 concubines and 4 slaves) every day before prayers."

The Hadith quotes his friends bragging that he "was given the strength of 30 men" (vol. 1, no. 268).

This claim was probably made to impress the Arabs who believed that heaven was a place of free flowing wine and ceaseless sexual ecstacy.

Other sections of the Hadith deal with Muhammad's "seal of prophethood," a fatty lump growing between his shoulders; his prowess as a shaman who controlled the jinn (spirits) who lived in the rocks and trees; his epileptic type seizures when he had a "revelation."

Fanciful miracles are also attributed to Muhammad in the Hadith. To prove he was Allah's prophet, he once supposedly cut the moon in half with his sword, calmed a crying baby palm tree by caressing its trunk, caused water to flow from his fingernails to slack the thirst of his followers and ate shouting bread which loudly praised Allah while he chewed.

But what if some of Muhammad's sayings are so outlandish and absurd that they cannot possibly be true?

Does this not destroy the claim of 1 billion followers that Muhammad is a true prophet of the living God?

Consider, this for instance, Muhammad claims that Adam was approximately 90 feet tall.

Or that the angel Gabriel has 600 wings. Or that "Satan stays in the upper part of the nose all night" and has to be flushed out with water in the morning.

Who are you to critisize Prophet Muhammad(saw) or any other prophets of God. Whatever Prophet Muhammad(pbuh)say is revealed to him from His creator. We fully believe whatever he says. Any one rejects whatever Prophet Muhammad(saw) says is bugle of Devil sorry to say this.
You must copy this from Christians missionaries writing. Danielpipes Blog is full of these allegation, and be ready to face God and ask Him why did He chose His prophets including Prophet Muhammad(saw). Tell that you reject all what Allah decreed to Prophet Muhammad(saw)..

Who says our creator choose Muhamamd, did it ever come across your mind Muhamamd is a false prophet?

We had warnings of the fale prophet, the angel with false doctrine. Then we have a man whom claims the previous book of God corrupted, but left no details or corrections. This is a man whom broke every commandment, was in 26 Battles, took slave woman for personal pleasure and had a 6 year old wife long with many other wife's. A religion that promises virgins (sex) for martyrdom, a prophet whom married inside his family which causes defects.

A man that made some pretty bogus claims, and never did we hear from Allah directly in Muhammad book.

Muhamamd is suppose to be sinless, although prayed for forgiveness on regular occasions. A man that said the world is like a carpet, the list goes on and on......

57. Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this World and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating Punishment.

58. And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly, bear (on themselves) a calumny and a glaring sin.

You made a very valid point here, not that any Christian would be interested to practice Idol worship in Mecca. Muslims should make the place available to all if Hardheads initial statement has any truth to it.

Hardhead Did you visit Muhammad's grave in Medina? Where does the Quran teach that Jesus’ grave is located? Doesn’t it teach that Jesus Christ is alive in Heaven with God?

In the Quran (2:253; 3:45-49; 4:158-176, 5:46-48; 19:33; 89:22-30), Jesus was called the Messiah; He was born of a virgin; He was among the righteous ones —— those nearest to God; He received strength from the Holy Spirit; He could give sight to the blind, cure lepers, and raise the dead; He prophesied His own death and resurrection; He was called a Word from God and a Spirit from God; and finally, He is coming back with thousands of angels to judge the world. All these characterizations add up to a powerful picture of a Christ who was more than a prophet —— and that’s on Quranic terms alone.

Top ten reasons I know that Islam is not a militan religion.

Additionally:

Head Scarfs: This custom is not prescribed in the Koran. The Koran only says,“Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks closely around them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognized and not annoyed”(33:59) Any culture that demands their women be covered is obeying their culture norm only, not something dictated by Islam.

So far it appears the Islamic Allah has cursed the whole world, especially Islamic countries.

Muslims are killing each other as well as the non-Muslims.

Maybe Allah's humiliating Punishment is forcing Muslims men to wear towels on their heads and the woman drapery?
