You will find extremely few, to be measured by the tiniest almost non-existent percentages, of religious fanatics among christians ...

How many extremists muslims do you find?? Who will cite you the koran and hadiths for their injustices and cruelty .. TODAY!!

Probably thousands of injustices have been committed ..(no not probably, definitely).. in the name of the bible and other religious scriptures .. but only today is the koran being used in that way.

Christianity and catholicism went through reforms .. dont you think it is actually time that islam did likewise?? That things were changed and modernised to be more easily digested by the muslim youths?? That it is quite scary that the most radical islamic places today in UK is the universities and colleges? The most educated, the most priviledged youths? Or can you find new, as yet unknown, excuses for that also?

So what the fcuk does it matter what Moses said or did some 2000 years ago if it is not practised today, if no-one cares today ...

The reason a lot of people worry about islam is because islam is taking literally the scriptures and acting accordingly ..

Tell me one place on this earth today .. where entire populations are living in accordance bible scriptures .. Old Testament??

I suggest you come to London for a few days - go around the muslim majority areas, and go up to Bradford in the Midlands, for example,... as a white boy ... and THEN feel the feeling you get from these people ... THEN tell us about bible scriptures and how wrong we are ..

Like I have said before, this forum is not the place to make big changes ... but hey, it is a place for people to voice their opinions quite loudly at times .. quite forcefully at times .. quite fanatically at times (from both ends of the spectrum)..

But you try to go up to the preachers who "sell" islam at markets in London and elsewhere on Saturdays .. just to have a debate .. not to insult, just to talk .. and you will see the kind of reception you will get .. definitely not nice, peaceful and welcoming ...

My point is simply, DT, that if you want "religious critique" a la "muhammed was evil", you should be aware that that the same can be done to the bible...

Im all for the critique of fanatics and extremists, but that isnt the goal for far too many people in here... They're on a campaign against islam, that includes all muslims - fanatics and moderates alike...

You may be totally on the mark with critique of your local fanatical preachers, I wouldnt know... There's plenty of muslim fanaics to go after, I agree... But then its these people your beef is with, not the religious texts that the majority of muslims doesnt read incentives for violence out of...
