I am against war, Jesus never solved problems with battle. That said there is two side to every story, the solders would not be there if Islamic insurgent put down their weapons and allowed the newly elected politicians from the people run the country in peace. The Islamic radicals don't want the people of their country (their brothers) to live ion peace, only under barbaric conditions forced upon by them.
There will never be peace in the Middle East as long as there is Islam.

Afghanistan ruling Taliban allowed Islamic terror camps to openly train Muslim terrorist, this led to some Mulsims bringing "roses" as you say to the world trade center in NYC and the pentagon, unfortunate those Muslims flower delivery guys choose 767 Boeing's as their transportation.

So yes hardhead the consequence of murdering people in cold blood, they may have to face some retribution. But first we must understand the root causes. Again I am against any war as I follow the teaching of Jesus,

Waqar Hasan, a Muslim convenience store owner, was gunned down by Mark Anthony Stroman four days after the 9/11 attacks. Stroman claimed to have been motivated by anger from watching the towers fall. He is not exactly your average American, however, even apart from the shooting. For one thing, he is a white supremacist who carried a felony criminal record at the time of the attack. He also went on to shoot two more people in the weeks that followed.

Thankfully, an American jury sentenced Mark Stroman to death.

I understand why you would be upset at Afghanistan, but first you must ask yourself why.

1. On Sept 11, 2001 where there any US troops in Afghanistan?

2. Did the Taliban controlled Afghanistan allow Al-Queda to run terror camps?

The war was instigated because what was allowed to happen in Afghanistan, there could be consequences to allowing what was allowed to happen in Afghanistan to happen.

One is my book is too many, it is a tragedy all lead by the initial attacks by Muslims. I don't agree with any war I have said that before.

I do understand people will react to protect themselves, fact it the Taliban allowed the camp therefore supported Osama than led to the Sept 11. Had the Muslims been peaceful to begin with there would be no war to begin with.

Any war is bad and will always lead to innocents being killed, this is why we should live by Jesus examples and not initiate or be in war conflicts.

The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder or honor-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers.

The hard quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the "silent majority," is cowed and extraneous.

Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority was irrelevant.

China 's huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.

Im sure you're not trying to present Paul Mareks article as your own, but it is still strange to me that you do not mention the author...

What Paul Marek doesnt consider is that the germans, the japanese, the Russians and who else he mentions as examples of "irrelevant silent majorities", were all ethniccally and/or culturally homogenic groups within the national borders of a country and with a powerstructure that could be conquered... The worlds muslims live in different countries and in different socie-economic realities and there is no central authority for the islamists to conquer and, to use Mareks expression, no means to "own" the muslims of the world...

Marek ignores the facts that there is nobody "ruling" Islam, just like there's nobody ruling christianity... Islamic fanatics are not united in their goals, as a matter of fact they'd just as much like to kill eachother as "infidels"...

Sunshine's post make a very strong statement, there is validity to what that person said.

Your correct Islamic radicals do not have the same goal, but what is concerning is how easily and often Islam is mis-interpreted (as some would day) then uses a justification to commit crimes.

Religion is powerful and can be dangerous. I will mention the names again, Heavens Gate, Jonestown, Branch Dividians to name a few. Look how distorted religion can get out of control and cause the simply human followers to act even drink poison or try to catch a spaceship, just crazy.

The question is does the Islamic text have verses that could lead to one wanted to commit a terrorist act?

Tabari VII:97 "The morning after the murder of Ashraf, the Prophet declared,'Kill any Jew who falls under your power.

Bukhari:V5B59N512 "The Prophet had their men killed, their woman and children taken captive."

Tabari VIII:181 "The Messenger ordered six men and four women to be assassinated. One of these women was Hind, who swore allegiance and became a Muslim.

Qur'an:8:12 "I shall terrorize the infidels. So wound their bodies and incapacitate them because they oppose Allah and His Apostle.

These are just a few verses upon hundreds, Al Queda can take these verses teach them to the Muslim teenager and bingo you have a radicalized suicide bomber, it is that easy!

I know the argument is the Old Testament also has some verses to kill, the difference is Moses or Jesus never killed or fought in multiple wars. Moses once killed one Egyptian man whom was torturing a Jewish man, besides that there were totally peaceful.

Islam has a prophet whom was in numerous battles, over 26 and this is suppose to be their prophet. Do understand 26 battles is more than most considered warlords were involved in, it is a considerable amount!
