The right is really desperate if they have to resort to the "Obama is neglecting Eastern Europe" card.

Part of the reason Bush "fawned" over Eastern Europe is because the major European powers wanted nothing to do with his rush to war in Iraq. The Eastern Europeans realized they had a chance to gain some favor with Washington by providing grist in the form of bodies for Iraq.

And they got the missile radar against the Russians, who they fear and despise.

Citizens of Eastern Europe lived for far too long in so-called 'utopia',and by God;Obama is selling to American people nothing less than 'utopia'.
P.S. During my childhood in a communist country,I used to hear every day:'YES WE WILL HAVE FOOD ONE DAY,BUT TODAY WE HAVE TO STARVE FOR OUR IDEALS AND NEVER SURRENDER TO EVIL IMPERIALISTS'.
"YES WE CAN"...makes me sick.

Chico Libertarian seems to think that since FDR gave Eastern Europe to the Soviet Union maybe Obama should give it to them again.

Really CL? You really think EE wanted to gain favor with the U.S.? I can't imagine why. Maybe they enjoyed a taste of freedom? Maybe those who survived the gulags to return home might not have had nice things to say about the Russians? I happened to have known 3 such victims and they really really did not like the Russians.

I understand your isolationism as a libertarian. I can't see mocking people who wished to be our allies hoping in return that we might someday be theirs.
I don't think they expect us to die at the gates of Warsaw for them. I believe they want us to not just give them away like FDR and Truman did at Teheran and Potsdam.
