Elections next week, what is at stake, who will bail Cyprus out and at what price and how independent is the country after signing too many "I OWE YOU'S"?
Are hard times changing the way Cypriots do business, decreasing corruption and lending habits? Are Cypriots focusing more on real issues and their survival or are they still glued to their old habits and hope for miracles?
As a well written article in today's Cyprus mail said, Cyprus has two kinds of justice. The one when the the advocate knows the law and the one when the advocate knows the judge. Any doubt that the latter will prevail and the primitive way of connections will continue to be the law of the land? Elections in Cyprus is like the change of the guard or should I say a rotation of chairs. what matters is who sits on what chair and how comfortable it is to occupy and dream on.
I hope that our so passionate, smart and affluent in English Cypriots, get to show off their intelligence by sharing their vision of the island and comment on what would it take to turn the country around. I also hope that the comments focus on Cyprus and not on Turkey
