dont get me wrong respecting the dead and sending money is very noble but may have been a waste
maybe im wrong but isnt the memorial already unveiled wasnt it unveiled yesterday!!
and back in april £80,000 was raised to fund the monument in the space of a few weeks after an article highlighting the British Cyprus Memorial Trust's fundraising campaign was published in April.

Shame on you Britain.

Go try and build a memorial for fallen British servicemen in Israel, India, Pakistan or Aden and see what reception you get.

This is a cowardly, devisive and calculated act which will cause even more problems especially when Cyprus is eventually reunited.

The memorial is by the old burial ground in kyrenia because Wayne's Keep is in the buffer zone so access would be an issue.

An old article from April, before the money had been raised:

this is what they said

The Trust still needs to raise more money, however, for the future upkeep of the memorial.

The Republic of Cyprus looks to be in a very good position, they have a very high income per capita, are in the EU, have fantastic health and education facilities and are respected and well represented around the world.

Shame about the illegally occupied north which has been populated by gypsies, criminals and cheapskate English buying "to good to be true" real estate. They blacken the name of the minority of real Cypriots which live there.

If you respect fighters, why don't you allow a memorial in Smyrna for the many thousands of Greeks who were murdered there under the noses of the then superpowers?

Re: malaka, this only applies to men and seeing that you have made so many spelling and grammatical errors, I guess you must be partially blind which is a sure sign of malakaisim.

You don't really get it do you?
Judging by your very basic command of English, you obviously didn't go to any of the fictional universities that you mentioned. You may want to look at this article (if you are able to understand it) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colleges...
It shows that there are not only more Universities but also far more colleges in The Republic of Cyprus furthermore,(and more to the point) there are over 10 times more people being educated at university in the Republic compared to the occupied North.
The whole point is that Cyprus fought hard for and won its freedom, its former oppressors have now built a memorial on the very soil that was liberated.
Criminal Turkish Cypriots may well be wealthy in northern Cyprus (anyone who steals land that is not theres is bound to be better off), but the indigenous Turkish Cypriots are generally much worse off than those on in the south.
Ref:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countrie ...(PPP)_per_capita
This clearly shows that Turkey is a distinctly third world country compared to Greece or Cyprus.

Think that you are looking for the word 'Went', as per your isp, i see clearly that you are an armchair warrior, spouting a love for a country that you visit twice a year and DO NOT contribute to their economy

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Gemini

Maybe it's pre-Christmas tension but people can turn nasty in the blink of an eye today. This is especially likely if they've got a lot on their plate or they think they're very important, and you may have to treat them with kid gloves if you want to avoid getting sucked into a bad-tempered war of words. Some gentle humor may help to rescue the situation before it descends into acrimony.
