Bravo TC.

The British did an excellent DIVIDE and RULE on us all - look at us after 50 years still arguing who did what to whom.

"Remember Costas Mishiaoulis and Dervis Ali Kavazoglu

Two Cypriot heroes, who gave their lives in the struggle for the unity of Cyprus.

The two trade unionists campaigned tirelessly for friendship and cooperation between the people of Cyprus and opposed the policies of both Enosis (union with Greece) and Taksim (partition of Cyprus).

Dervis and Costas were assassinated by the paramilitary group TMT on 11 April 1964. They worked together and they died together.

Having made the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of freedom their memory lives on as does the dream of a common Cypriot homeland."

R.I.P. Dervis Ali Kavazoglu and Costas Mishiaoulis.

Don't slander the greek cypriots. And don't be leaches to. Stop trying to take our territory by saying we have something to do with you. We have nothing to do with you. You try to lay claim left and right but it doesn't work here.

i will reply to this

although kavazoglu was a Turkish Cypriot with views of staying peacefully he was dissapointed with akel
here is an article relating to this

AKEL’s Enosis Policy and the Kavazoglu Tragedy
Although Dervis Ali Kavazoglu fought with all his might for ‘the cause’ despite difficulties, he was deeply sorry for the events that took place in 1964. The reason was not just the bloodshed between the two communities but also that AKEL, the party that he was a proud member of, had decided to return to their Enosis policy, which drove him to take a stand of political solidarity. AKEL had indeed returned to their Enosis policy in 1964, leaving their 1960 “completion of Independence” policy. Kavazoglu had objected to division all his life and he even put his life at stake in order to defend his cause. Now, especially after the establishment of the independent Republic of Cyprus, it was unacceptable to him that the Party had once again gone back to Enosis. His disappointment is obvious in the lines written by Vanezos. In a speech about the fighting in Erenkoy/Mansura made by Hambis Michaelides, a member of the Central Committee, he said “The blood of the Greek Cypriots and their Greek brethren got mixed up in Mansura,” which caused Kavazoglu deep sorrow. When talking about this incident with Vanezos, Kavazoglu, with his head between his hands, could not help but ask:“Then why am I fighting this war?”
He held the leaders of the two communities responsible for the events of 1963-64 and he knew very well that it was difficult to live in peace on an island where blood had been shed. He also knew well that the Enosis policy of the Greek Cypriot Leadership was nothing more than supporting the idea of division. His expectations from AKEL were deep regarding this very issue. Tell the Greek Cypriot community the truth and drive them away from the Enosis policy! Otherwise he felt that the future of the Republic of Cyprus would be very dark.

Can Greek Cypriots get their houses back at the Kyrenia harbour, plus the 80% land that belongs to them in the occupied north of Cyprus?

Can the Greek Cypriots get back the 30,000+ donums of their land that Rauf Denktash stole for himself, his family and for the Turkish Generals?(this is why Denktash wants a recognized indenpendent state in the north so he can legally keep the stolen GC land).

Can the Greek Cypriots get back their land and properties which the British, like yourself, illegally live on?

"The Cyprus Government informs on a permanent basis the international community that the purchase of immovable property in the Turkish occupied areas is an illegal and invalid act. Consequently, if foreign citizens have bought immovable property in occupied Cyprus, they have fallen victim to crooks trying to obtain gains by trading in Greek Cypriot properties in the north. It must be stressed that anyone buying land from an illegal owner will not be secure and at the end will lose his or her money. According to the Immovable Property (Transfer and Mortgage) Law No. 9 of 1965 as amended to date, all transfers of immovable property must be made by the competent District Land Officers, otherwise they are invalid and the ownership (title deed) of the transferred immovable property does not come into the hands of the purchaser.

As a result, no so-called "authority" in occupied Cyprus has jurisdiction to perform administrative acts on any issue including the transfer of property ownership. This is the message sent to the international community and to Britain in particular, because of a report in the "Observer" newspaper on 19 May 2002, which said that more and more Britons were lining up to buy houses and plots of land in the Turkish occupied areas of Cyprus at very low prices. If there is truth in the report, such sales are illegal and invalid, and the buyers not only lost their money but committed a criminal offence by violating the right of ownership of the legal owners."

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Taurus

Make a big effort to spend time with people you didn't see on Christmas Day, especially if they're older than you or are having a bad time at the moment. You're brimming over with compassion and empathy, which will be really appreciated by anyone who's on the receiving end of them. You're also in the mood to make allowances for people, and that will help enormously.
