Dear Aristodimos, we Cypriots in general and the international community in particular have been injected with the notion that Turkey invaded Cyprus after a Greek backed junta overthrew the chosen head of state of Cyprus.
This is a farce. When Cyprus became independent in 1960 it was forced to accept the guarantorship of three nations. On the outside it was designed to appear that Turkey was the initiator of this idea, however the truth is this was a British plan which was created to make sure of future instability within the newly created Republic of Cyprus. December 21, 1963 was the start of friction between the two communities in Cyprus and tailored by the British to culminate with the invasion of Cyprus in 1974.
One fact is ever overlooked. The British military and controlled presence in Cyprus is forever and the Cyprus problem will NEVER be solved unless Western interests deem it necessary to solve. Don't be deceived that Turkey on its own invaded Cyprus. Two of the guarantor nations are derelict and useless nations both militarily and economically and unless the 'old colonial master' changes heart to suit its geopolitical interests no solution is visible over the horizon.

It wasn't the British slaughtering Turkish Cypriot women and children, it was the Greek Cypriots.
Iw wasn't the British who voted against the EU and Greece backed Annan Plan, it was the Greek Cypriots.
The biggest stumbling block IS and always has been the Greek Cypriots.
You have all been lied to and you are stupid enough to buy and promote those lies.
