Obama thinks of America as the 1% and third world countries as the 99%. His views are rooted in an idea of anti-colonialism that the rich people (all of America), and rich countries don't deserve what they have. And the playing field must be leveled, and America must be down-sized. As he feels they didn't earn it, they stole it, and He/they have every right to use the power of the state to confiscate it back.
