Do not judge Croatia by actions of small minority of criminals and traitors who collaborated with occupiers just as some french and many others did. If Britain was invaded some British would also collaborate but most would fight aganist geermans. This is what happened in Croatia. ustasa were never popular in Croatia. Look man. I support removing the jews from political and financial life but I don"t support exterminating jewish women and children.

I see you have never heard of Lothar Rendulic. Many croats indeed do have german and austrian relatives just like many serbs and bosniaks have turkish or russian relatives.

hahahaha.In Serbia we're all ortodox and I don't know anyone Serb who has Turkish relatives.Find in the internet investigation of european races(I can't renember where is that but I'm lookong for) and you see all Serbs are Slavs and little Celts blood(like the other southern Slavs).

Let me clarify AGAIN...Croatians who fought for Croatia in ww2 were not nazis or fascists - just wanted to be free of serbo-communist oppression.
Germany, Italy, hungary etc were just a means to an end for Croatia and all the pieces somehow fell into place in ww2 that allowed the Croatian state to emerge from the darkness.

Croatians who fought for communist yugoslavia in ww2 are the biggest scum that ever existed. They wore the red star and fought for tito - mega killer of Croatian patriots and anyone suspected of supporting the idea of a Croatian state.

You will find sections of almost every nation that wears swastikas.
Croatia is not exempt.

Provocative question. Germany, Italy and friends invaded Croatia in WW2 and committed horendous crimes against Croatia. I don't think most Croatians are proud that there were those who collaborated with the occupier and it is wrong to say that Croatians were on the German side. There were many Serbian collaborators but no one says Serbs fought on the German side. There were many more French collaborators and no one says France fought on the German side. Some Ustasha nostalgics today are proud to have fought for the German side but others prefer to distance themselves from Germany and Italy. So even with the extreme right wing you cannot label them as being "proud to have fought with the germans and italians".

Draza was anti-fascist, Nedic wasnt fascist and only reason that he worked with occupators was to save as much serbian lives as possible from Tito, Tudjman who were ready to sacrifice it. By the way, a smsll number of Croats were partizans they were 2 buisy to fight 4 independent croatia state.
