Josipovic: about the Serbian victims
Croatia won the war, but Croatia still has to win and at peace - said Croatian President Ivo Josipović the central event marking Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day, War Veterans Day and the 17th anniversary of Operation Storm.
"Croatia has won the war and this is a great achievement, time we defended our borders, we have defended our freedom, we defend democracy, however, Croatia still has to win the peace, a win today at peace, means to overcome economic difficulties, means ensuring human rights means ensuring religious freedom, national freedom, means ensuring the prosperity of our citizens and each citizen, "said Croatian President.
To win the peace, said Josipovic, "means to reach out to our fellow citizens of Serbian nationality and recognize their sacrifice and worship them."
Croatian state leadership at this year's celebration of Victory Day and National Thanksgiving Day, War Veterans Day and the 17 anniversary of the military-police operation "Storm" did not mention the Hague convicts, but are referred to Serbian victims and they need to acknowledge.
Josipovic, Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic and the Acting President of the Parliament Josip Leko primarily expressed gratitude to all attorneys who are in a defensive war took a victory for Croatia.
Stressing that he was proud that the supreme commander of the victorious army, Josipović said that the defenders of a just and defensive war brought victory and that they appreciate the fact.
Josipovic said that Croatia was at war and that the winning country is sure that this can be at peace.
"I'm sure you can beat the recession and crisis, and all tendencies which placed Croatia want out of Europe and its values," said Josipovic.
Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic said that the citizens of Croatia were together when he was the hardest, and that Croatia was the most difficult time and the price was great.
"This holiday that we celebrate not enjoy other people's distress and the other people's sorrows naslađivali which was," Milanovic said, adding that Croatia after the Storm was sometimes below the level of his task, but that "the war was just and humane and to the values with which we enter the EU. "
Pointing out that Croatia is the master of your destiny and that there is no more excuses and seek culprits in Belgrade or Budapest, Milanovic said that "the war started a bad regime that did not know their limits."

Every man and every country must know what can and where his limits, and they do not know," said Milanovic.
Croatia borders will always defend knowing where, as she did every Croatian government since 1990. and now, and that we are also unique, Milanovic said Croatia's victory in front of the monument Storm '95.
Acting President of the Parliament Josip Leko in his speech said that this day one of the biggest days of the overall Croatian history.
"This day belongs to the Croatian defenders as they presented the most difficult burden imposed war," he said, adding that "we want to build a state of equal opportunities for all who will live in it."
The mayor of Knin Joseph Rimac stressed that the victory was won in a Storm 900-kronor a year of yearning for freedom.
"If we are forgiven, and we are, who can defend us celebrate our victory in what does the` M `hate` R `or of revenge," she said, adding that "we regret for the innocent victims and their families."
This morning at Knin fortress in the presence of state leaders raised the Croatian flag followed by a program and airline groups parade through the streets of the city. After gathering in the local church followed by Mass for the country.
Neither the new Croatian government was not even a millimeter fundamentally changed their relationship with citizens of another faith and nation, the Serbs and the serious crimes that were committed against them not only in World War II, but the civil war of the nineties. Minimal progress in public statements of Croatian officials over the result of the need to present themselves as a nation ripe for EU membership, but a true confession of guilt. Until Croatia svopm in Parliament does not adopt Declaration on an apology for the genocide of Serbs Dtugom World War and ethnic cleansing, genocide, with elements of civil war in the nineties of the past century, there is no reasonable prospect that it will reach a lasting and sustainable pomirenjua Serbs and Croats, Serbia and Croatia , the most numerous nations in the Balkans. And as far as Croatia is proud to be celebrating the Storm as a national, state holiday, there is no genuine signal from them that the Serbs were expelled simply because they were Croatian citizens of other faiths and nations.
