I want to learn Spanish in Central and South America. Any advice? There's no shortage of language schools in big Latin America cities and popular tourist destinations, says Eliot Greenspan, a veteran travel writer who has penned guidebooks for Frommer's on Guatemala, Ecuador and Costa Rica .

Yanapuma Spanish School in Quito and Cuenca, Ecuador is an EXCELLENT school. I learned Spanish from them a few years ago, and now Im fluent. They use a conversational communication method of teaching so that you learn the grammar and vocabulary more easily, and it sticks! Also, they are a nonprofit, giving 100% of their profit to support poor indigenous communities throughout Ecuador. Their website is www.yanapumaspanish.org

Ecuador is one of the best places to study Spanish in Latin America. Ecuadorian Spanish is clear and precise, similar to Mexican and Central American Spanish, and the costs of study are among the lowest in South America.

True, ecuadors spanish is great! I spent my last few weeks visiting a spanish course, before I went to my volunteerproject.
www.ailolaquito.com or also nice the same school in Otavalo http://www.ailolaquito.com/en/spanish-school/...

you always can fidn good schools with reviews on www.123teachme.com

I heard that classes on Galapagos are possible as well but very expensive to live overthere. So if you consider to visit Galapagos, maybe this is a good way as well?

Sorry, I have no Idea. But I would say no...the ecuadorians are a little bit barred. When I talked about nude beaches in Europe with my hostfamily they couldnt believe it and were pretty shocked;)
