The corrupt Mexican government will take the money. I just can't believe that the money I work so hard for not only goes to teach a bunch of illegal children english and feed them their free lunches but now it's going directly Mexico too. The sad part is, Obama and Juan McCain both have a plan to fix the illegal immigration problem. They both want to make them all legal-problem solved.

This sounds like a war that will go on for years and years. Mexico will blackmail us by letting the violence cross the border (which it already has). We will then send them billions of dollars so they will fight the cartels and end the drug wars so they will not cross into the United States. Meanwhile, who knows what will happen to the billions of dollars we send down there. Haven't we sent billions down there already through the years and the drug cartels have only gotten stronger. Sounds like the Mexican government has quite a racket going. Their whole government is corrupt and infiltrated by the drug cartels as is their police force and military.
I read an article the other day that said if the drug wars continue and get worse what will we do if millions of Mexicans begin crossing the border as refugees. It seems Mexico is holding us hostage - send the money to fight the cartels or who knows what will happen. I say we should stop fooling around and build the double layer fence and top it with razor wire like they are doing in San Diego. Also pass the SAVE Act which will require all employers to use the E-Verify system, before it's too late to do anything. Let Mexico fight its own drug wars. |

Like them dumb ass Mexicans are going to spend Americas 1.5 billion dollars on the effort to stop what they support. That's the only way the Mexican gov't knows how to boost Mexico's economy.

What better way to maintain a corrupt narco government then to prop it up with US taxpayer money. Cut them off, deport the illegals and let them sort it all out down south. It will be messy, but necessary if we ever want that place to improve. Needed change will not occur as long as we are the safety valve for Mexico's problems. A little tough love will go far.

It is about time someone rejected our aid package. Maybe we will save some of our money for once.

Mexicans refusing dollars? Come on, let's be real here.
Mexico is just having a temper fit because it wants no oversight whatsoever on what they do with our taxpayers' hard earned money. Funny you don't see all those greedy Mexican pigs who made millions from Mexico or billions pitch in to do anything about that hellhole. Soon they'll all be demanding asylum in the USA, most of them have their opulent penthouses in Miami all lined up. |

There are hundreds of Mexican Government officials trying to push the amnesty agenda in this country. Give the money to the states to help stop the invasion from Mexico and the hospitals that are going broke providing free medical care for Illegal Aliens.

You don't really think anyone buys that do you? If so, I've got some WMD's to sell you, idiot. |

This cooperation of the u.s. was athreat to Mexicos sovereignity. About the migrants it sounds you are right to think they should wait to enter legally. But thinking you are an economical world power to avoid this illegal immigration you should help your neighbor to have a better economy by not putting so many locks on our exports and payig fare wages to maquiladora workers. Their salary is an insult.

Why are you americans so stingy about even one cent you pay fo taxes. I also pay taxes in your country, and I dont take anything from your government. I think the taxes I pay can also be used to care for Juarez people who need it urgently. A lot of Mexican people pay taxes in your rotten country.

So go back to your own country where it is so morally superior. You speak from both sides of your mouth. Then of course that is a propagandist's job. You people underestimated the gulliblity of Americans. You support mexico, you are my enemy. Period. |
Intellectually brilliant must be said to describe all of you. The democratic congress is to blame for everything since 2006. Have you considered how billions of dollars spent (wasted) in Iraq effects the value of the US Dollar; likely not. Here's the real deal, you take a weak financial market, thanks to funny mortgages that only work for 3 years with billions dropped down a black hole and you get a declining dollar together working together with a economy in disaray. Now can we say Bush is to blame, in part yes, in part no; for the troops and the wasted dollars in Iraq, absolutely, for the funny mortgage debacle, no. Now Mexico, perhaps they just don't want the strings attached to American money on this "war on drugs". Do you really blame countries who have just about have had enough without US intenvention. Take Chavez in Venezula, he's a bit radical and perhpas should think sometimes before he speaks, but he's basically said he wants nothing to do with US intervention, and he should say that, so should leaders of all countries. Issues, the "wars", Iraq and drugs. The reality is you can't have a war against a product and we're not at war with Iraq; you also cannot have a "war" against a terible concept, terrorism. You can seek to eradicate terrorism but you don't do it by attempting to administer a new government and orchestrating the killing of a leader of a country; which is what we did. We are not in Iraq fighting terrorism; its not a terrorist stronghold. Perhaps we should be in Saudi Arabia as well where most of the 9-11 terrorists came from; but our oil interests in that country dictate policy. Bush and Cheney fed the US senate and the country a fairly good sized bunch of lies; it took them two years to admid there weren't any nuclear and/or biological weapons in Iraq - I mean at that point wasn't it time to get the hell out of there. If you were going to the ocean and believed it to be in Colorado, when you got there and discovered what an idiot you were, wouldn't you head out. Drugs, drugs have been around for centuries, many. They will not be eradicated merely because the moralists want them to be. Alcohol and tobacco are drugs, except our government regulates their sale for profit. Other countries are much more tolerant of drugs. For instance, take estasy, its legal in some countries, a mere fine in some others. Cocaine, largely tolerated in Mexico of course, and all of South and Central America. And the US is certainly the largest of customers. All we do is fill our prisons, at more cost to the American public. Actually, we all need the government to do less for us. Our government needs to realize its not the conscience of the free world; and actually should act as the conscience for all Americans. I love this country, but I hate whats its become, a nation of arrorgant politicans. I may as well make a few comments on Mexican nationals coming accross our borders. I forget the President who stated when he addressed the nations; Fellow Immigrants. Thats what we all are, one or more generations removed. The closing of our borders goes against the principals upon which our nation was founded. Hispanics who come accross our borders take adavantage of opportunities, at least so for them; jobs which those in our American workforce won't touch for the most part. So be it for the work ethic in America. I've had my say, mostly to get people thinking. American policy needs to changed, American needs to be fixed. |
