Yes I know how the foreigners attract beggars and vendors. How I wish they will promulgate a law that beggars will not bother those foreigners but should be assigned to a certain area where they will just sit without following the foreigners. There is a low in SF not allowing pan handling...an area is specifically assigned for this purpose.
I've never been scammed myself (at least as far as I know). Most of the sames are so weak and/or ridiculous it's very easy to identify the lies and or deception. As for the scammers and beggers. It's impossible to isolate them all as many are merchants, cops, and politicians. Secondly; if they isolated an area for the street beggers, they'd never make a dime as nobody (foreigners) would NEVER visit the area.

The most important thing, somebody did try to help and if it fails, then you can breath and sleep soundly. I did my best Lord, but my best was not good enough. Amen.
You missed the lesson of that parable. She refused to abandon the pesos for pussy creedo. Refused.

As a foreigner, Caucasian living in the Philippines, I was constantly amazed at the willingness of some parents to encourage their daughters to prostitute themselves. Sometimes, Papa was the pimp! I know of at least a dozen young ladies who were 'rescued' from a shipping container on its way to one of Islam's fine nations. They were caught/discovered because one of the girls refused to accept the sedatives they used to calm the girls. She banged on the walls after discovering a fear of confined, dark spaces. The Customs officials were applauded for their ability to 'save these young ladies. A few clowns were rounded up and dragged before the press for scrutiny. No prosecution occurred because...THE GIRLS ALL WANTED TO GO AND FUCK FOR CASH! That's right, these females (one was 14 so I can't write 'women') had agreed to be smuggled in to Mohammed's playground in return for pesos. Their parents should have been appalled but were upset that their meal ticket was not allowed to escape.

God had and has nothing to do with them.

“Our world is a messed up place. People are hurting. Suffering is everywhere .... Where is the help?

... This morning when you woke up, there were people around the world and in your own community who were hoping that today might be the day. The day someone stepped in between slaves and their oppressors. The day relief from suffering begins. The day they could feed, clothe and educate their kids. The day someone showed kindness to them, or let them know they had value ....
Don’t wait for someone else. Don’t wait for someday. Because, YOU are the someone and TODAY is the day.”

So if you're not scammed why are you making it a big issue ...politicians in the streets of Manila are asking money pretending as beggars???? Don't exaggerate Derek. Are you too angry contradicting your opinion:'NOBODY (would)NEVER visit the area???? Just let other decide for themselves and just speak for yourself. One person like you not visiting will definitely has no effect as thousands of tourists are saying: "its more fun in the Philippines"....too bad ha...you can't control tourists from coming..lollllllllllllllllllll llllllllllllllllllllllllllllll ll

Good decription here. Yes, many of the poor in Western countries such as America and Australia, many of them are still able to afford luxuries such as going out for dinner and a movie, getting Pay TV and buying a new stereo for the car.
Many of the lazy bums who are on Social Security here in Australia are known as 'Dole Bludgers' in colloquial terms. Lazy sh!ts who spend our tax money as we who work pay more tax. The Australian Social Security system is a lot better than America's, as those who don't have a job can apply for the dole, as we don't have the Food Stamp scheme here. Many here make excuses to not look for work, as there are way more opportunites here than in the Philippines.
OMG - are you awake or in a "dreamland" after a lot of drinking.
You're so funny saying that
"The poor in America can afford luxury such as going out for dinner and a movie??? And they can afford to pay TV (you mean cable) and a new stereo for their cars???? Welcome to the World of fantasy. How I wish your words will come true so there will be no more "poor" especially the homeless and those thousands who are on the long lines everyday for one free meal.

Wake up , wake up ....

Nonsense to you, but educational if one is telling the truth. If you don't point out to the one talking nonsense, he might continue talking nonsense and the world will become people of nonsense.

It's not a fight. These are exchanges of ideas and opinions, that's the reason why it's called "forum".

The Federal States of the Philippines will be catapulted to become one of the economic tigers of Asia which a couple of decades ago is called as 'the sick man of Asia'.
Every which way you look, the Federal States of the Philippines is on her way to real industrialization. Economic centers will be in every State of the 12 States of the Philippines, which means not only in Metro Manila where a company can put up a business. The Sultanate State of Sulu and Bangsamoro welcomes all businesses that could provide jobs to former rebels.
Chinese businesses are not welcome for they will only contaminate the whole Filipino business community due to their propensity to bribing government officials. All other countries are welcome to do business in the country.
