War China vs Burma: who will win?

I feel the Burmese military is more than equipped to defeat the Chinese army in an all-out war. I say this based on history.

Chinese invaded Burma 4 times in the past [in succession]. Each time they were beaten and the last 2 times they were crushed. Both Han Chinese generals [earlier campaigns] and the war-like Manchus [last 2 campaigns] were utterly annihilated.

Burmese are a tough, militaristic people. I think they would defeat China the same way Japan did. They would probably take over all of Southern China and especially the Yunnan province [which they sometimes claim as their own].

China would have to use nukes [to which Burma has no effective counter-measure].

But the Burmese are rapidly developing nukes thanks to North Korean help.

Thus it is soon time when even China's nuclear option will no longer be a deterrent. Burmese people will rise over the Chinese people. Man-to-man they are going to be much stronger now.

Depends on what situation, what war you are talking about

If chinese bring their troops to a foreign country
they will not survive in any war, and thousands years of history in the region has just proved that

however, mongols is another story, they used to occupy 2/3 Europe and 4/5 Asia

I don't think you can compare the US & Afghanistan with Burma & China. The differential in the former case was very, very high. The US is the most powerful nation in the world. Afghanistan is a 3rd world cesspit.

Whereas in terms of development China & Burma are matched more closely. True, China's technological capabilities are superior to Burma's. But Burma has far superior manpower, a warrior ethic and militant nation.

Therefore in a conventional Chinese invasion scenario [where China invades Burma] the Chinese would be beaten back. And if the Burmese reserved sufficient military presence in the north, they would probably be able to push into Southern China within months.

Total all-out war scenario [again, with no nukes] and I have the Burmese pulling off a [surprise, for most people but not those in the know] victory.

I think this goes some way to explaining why the Chinese, generally very assertive with all its neighbours, suddenly tends to cower/wimper when it comes to Burma. They know the general combat efficiency of Burmese troops is superior.

Obviously China could win because its a nuclear country unlike Burma, and China's man power is far more than Burma. So definitely China could win if they are Morally on the right side! But if not, then Burma will easily CRUSH! China.

Haha. You know us only too well. Then we'll set up bases in Burma to support the local prostitutes.

What guys china and burma would never fight each other but I think it would be bloody and china would win for sure. The Chinese did lose in their invasion but that was in1700s. Mongolians are conquerors of the world but I don't think they can conquer anyone now. I think burma can make it very tough for china they did get wipped by Vietnam recently. But the other thing is Burmese are tired of malitary rule they won't fight as hard there are many ethnic rebel armies in burma. They are pretty tough they have fought since forever and the Burmese could never completely get rid of them all.

This is a stupid thread.

China will never go to war with Burma.

Even Aung San Suu Kyi is of Chinese Hakka ancestry.

There is even a place called Hakka in Burma.

Most likely Burma will become an autonomous province of China when the monk population decreases. Too many monks the Burma makes it impossible for the nation to grow.

Solution for Burma is EDUCATION. The Burmese population with Chinese ancestry will lead the way for the nations prosperity.
