The Highest I.Q in the world is in Hong Kong with an average score of 108. In Macau the average score is 104, which would also have made it to top 5. Both of these city are 70-80% Cantonese population.

However, in Guangdong the I.Q score is 101, but the reason could be the fact that in the eastern part of Guangdong is predominately Teochew, Hakka. In the western part of Guangdong Leizhou penisula is predominately Hokkien. And even in the centre of Guangdong both of the city of shenzen and dongguan are mandarin speaking city predominately by mandarin migrant workers. Even about 30-40% of foshan, guangzhou are mandarin speaking migrants from central china.

Guangdong is flooded with millions and millions of migrants from rural China and elsewhere, regardless of the other ethnic groups already present there.

Japanese are the smartest in the modern world, smarter than all the Chinese no matter what kind you are. Look at all their J-pop, technology, cars, anime, manga, video games, advanced products. They are creative and have quite an large influence in today's world. Although I must say Hong Kong does have most of the world most famous people of Asian descent. The world knows who is Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, even many know who isSamo hung, Donnie yen. Yes, I know there all martial artist actors but still HK have definitely influenced Hollywoods choreography and fighting sequence.

HK, Macau are maybe 2 of world richest city today.
China will become the world most powerful country but even that cannot compare to Japan. JAPAN is the ideal nation of the world today.

Are you kidding? Japan is heading toward the toilet. Aging population (1/4 over 60), shrinking numbers, 2 decades of recession, debt now over 200 % of GDP, and the earthquake just added to their slide downhill. Doesn't sound like a nation with a bright future.

If Japan is heading toward the toilet than America is heading 3x faster. The world recognized Japan as one of the world greatest of modern times, why would you want to argue me over that??? I'm not being biased, just being honest, I'm Singaporean not Japanese. Now even though Singapore is also an superpower economy, no one in the world gives a shit about us because the only thing we have is economy, there is no cultural impact or any competition in the world apart from economy. But Japan has about everything, they have the most cultural impact in Asia and in the world today. For example their language, movies, music, anime, video games, advance cars and motorcycles, and other many gadgets and technology. There more successful and competitive than any Asia nation in the world today. Even when it comes to sport they won the Asian cup 4 times, the world cup once, 2x world baseball champions. What about China??? 1.3 billion people that couldn't qualified for the world and only reached as far as finals in 2004. HK, they gold medal in east Asian Champion in football in 2009, I know there only an 7 million population but still. Economy is not everything you got to have reputation, positive impact, cultural influence in the world.

China today is not an very liked nation in most of the world today. It copies and produce fake product, and earned their money through many dirty tactics. Not denying the fact China is still an superpower economy but like I said it's impact to the world is considered negative in most countries, China is not an inspiration. Japan is an inspiration in every country of the world apart from China and Korea.

So if those Chinese are so dam clever why then do this in my mind not so clever guys think Rhino horn gets their brick up or cures cancer.
What a stupid bloody bunch which are solely responsible for the extinction of endangered species.
The Rhinos in Asia are as good as extinct and now they do their best to do the same on the African continent. Destroying an Animal which exists for more then 5 million years. Some 4 million and 993 thousand years before Moses floated down the Nil.
A nation which cooks dog puppies alive.
You call them clever? They are the most primitive suckers on Earth.

yes as Japan became the American Lap Dog of Asia
even destroying their own export market at the time by raising the Value of their yen vs the dollar...
like RayH says Japan is dying...as their population will go from 127 million down to 95 million and over 40% will be over 65 years of age by 2050
only way Japan does not die is to open up to million immigrants a year and the only way you get those numbers is with massive Chinese migration...
talk about a dying culture... so you can have a cultural impact in Asia
forgetting that the ethnic Chinese dominate the economies of many Asian countries...
btw did you celebrate Chinese New Year or Japanese New Year in the UK this year????
China needs to invade them and impregnate all the Japanese babes. It's the only way to save them.

So full of hate...Japan is not going die unlest Europe and America die first so keep dreaming. At leas Japan didn't poisoned 300,000 babies with your tainted, selling fake food and drinks. Shows how moral an country China can be. China population is the butt of joke, that's why China GDP is only 106 because of huge population, btw about half of China rich people are leaving for other countries, I wonder why?

Sorry, I mean't tainted MILK which poisoned with 300,000. The milk scandal in 2008 is truly one of the most shameful incidents to have ever happened in China.

Oh really... at least Hiroshima is not even 0.1% as shameful as your China cultural revolution.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki 250,000 deaths by atomic bomb.

Cultural revolution 70 million death toll.

Jap influence on the world peaked in 1990 and it's been all downhill since then due to their two decades long "Lost Decade(s)."

Sports domination? Remember the Olympics? China was No. 1 in gold medals in 2008. Just wait 5 months for the London Olympics. My guess is China will become No. 1 in overall medals this time.

Negative impact? Only by the countries that can't compete with China.
