I saw the video on the news.

I wonder why they chose to use a Russian aircraft landing on a Russian aircraft carrier to display how advanced China is?

Estimates are it will take 10 years or more for the prc to make their own jet enjines.that new helicopter is a joke, they cant power it without jet engines from russia! It would be hard to land on a carrier without an engine.

Yep!

With the benefit of cooperative Ukrainian scrap metal dealers, CCP China has almost caught up to THAILAND now!(which has had an operating carrier for twenty years or so)

Yawn.

I would like to point out the US/Soviet space and rocket/missile programs were developed on the back of Nazi V2's and Scientist such as Wernher von Braun.

China has historically kept any expansion with in her sphere of influence is Asia. The act of landing a Jet on an Aircraft Carrier marks a significant increase China's technological ability. Once they are able to produce a indigenous Aircraft Carrier, with the accompanying battle group and air wing. They will be able to project power and thats when the US will start parking Carriers off the coast of Japan.

Nuking dams?
Is that the reason you western poofs don't like building big dams for the storage/conservation of water, and the production of clean electricity?
Instead you warmongers would prefer to make up excuses like mini-nuked the Twin Towers so wars can be declared on Iraq and Afghanistan, them rich Muslim countries.
Hidden from the media, thousands of tanker loads of Iraqi oil have already been stolen by the US Army, pumped for free to the USA.

Oh come on, you want us to believe you came to 'Free' the Muslim People? No takers!
Why do think Yanks are enjoying paying gas at the Shell pumps at just 1/5th the price those of the poorer Chinese motorists in Beijing?
