The Chinese are a tiny market-dominant minority in the Philippines. Although they constitute 1 per cent of the population, Chinese Filipinos control about 60 per cent of the private economy, including the country’s four airlines and almost all of the banks, hotels, shopping malls, big conglomerates, and swathes of prime real estate. The Chinese also have safe deposit boxes full of gold bars, each one the size of a chocolate bar. A typical Chinese family would live in a splendid hacienda-style house in Manila, literally walled off from the Filipino masses, in a luxurious, all-Chinese residential enclave, on streets named Harvard and Princeton. The entry points are manned by armed guards.

In the Philippines, The Chinese dominate industry and commerce at every level of society. Global markets intensify this dominance: When foreign investors do business in the Philippines, they deal almost exclusively with Chinese. Apart from a handful of corrupt politicians and a few aristocratic Spanish mestizo families, all of the Philippines’ billionaires are of Chinese descent.

Nearly two thirds of the roughly 80m ethnic Filipinos in the Philippines live on less than $2 a day. Millions of Filipinos work for Chinese. The Chinese consider the Filipino servants fortunate to be working for Chinese families. If not for those positions, the Filipino would be living among rats and open sewers. Filipino male house servants (houseboys, gardeners, and chauffeurs) living in a Chinese house would sleep on mats on dirt floors infested with sweat and urine.

The Chinese of the Philipines consider the Filipinos as lazy and unintelligent. For the Chinese,…having a birth defect, or marrying a Filipino, being murdered is shameful. Even in death, the Chinese in the Philippines’ are buried in the prestigious Chinese cemetery.

Same applies in Indonesia and Malaysia.

Because the locals are lazy, good for nothing parasites. Who need govt. assistance in holding down the hard working and enterprising Chinese minority. Through discriminatory laws and regulations.
Because the local idiots can't compete with the Chinese.

it only proves that the Chinese, especially those from southern fujian or taiwanese/hongkongnese, are disgusting, extremely selfish, extremely greedy money grabbers.

Chinese brain is hardwired to 'money'. they think about how to grab money 24hours a day, 7 days a week. in the western world, only Chinese shops are open on Christmas and etc.

without these greedy chinese stealing all the wealth from the Philippines, average Filipinos would live much better lives.

the dirty greedy Chinese should be removed from Philippines, Canada, USA, and etc.

A
new poll conducted in 20 countries representing more than 60 percent of the world's population says feelings toward the United States haven't changed much since Barak Obama became the U.S. president.

The poll finds that in 15 of 19 countries -- excluding the United States -- the majority sees Washington as bullying other countries with the threat of its powerful military. In 17 of 19 countries, according to the poll, the United States is seen as not obeying international law.

TruthMove - US Militarism
www.truthmove.org/content/us-militarism

The largest industry in the world is also the most destructive, and no country has a larger stake than the United States. Our military budget, arms sales ...

======
The New American Militarism: How Americans Are Seduced by War [Paperback]

In this provocative book, Andrew Bacevich warns of a dangerous dual obsession that has taken hold of Americans, conservatives, and liberals alike. It is a marriage of militarism and utopian ideology--of unprecedented military might wed to a blind faith in the universality of American values. This mindset, the author warns, invites endless war and the ever-deepening militarization of U.S. policy. It promises not to perfect but to pervert American ideals and to accelerate the hollowing out of American democracy. As it alienates others, it will leave the United States increasingly isolated. It will end in bankruptcy, moral as well as economic, and in abject failure.
With The New American Militarism, which has been updated with a new Afterword, Bacevich examines the origins and implications of this misguided enterprise. He shows how American militarism emerged as a reaction to the Vietnam War. Various groups in American society--soldiers, politicians on the make, intellectuals, strategists, Christian evangelicals, even purveyors of pop culture--came to see the revival of military power and the celebration of military values as the antidote to all the ills besetting the country as a consequence of Vietnam and the 1960s. The upshot, acutely evident in the aftermath of 9/11, has been a revival of vast ambitions and certainty, this time married to a pronounced affinity for the sword. Bacevich urges us to restore a sense of realism and a sense of proportion to U.S. policy. He proposes, in short, to bring American purposes and American methods--especially with regard to the role of the military--back into harmony with the nation's founding ideals.

So you call the Chinese's willingness to work hard 24/7 and reap the rewards of their labour, as being greedy and money grabbing.

I suppose you call the pinoy's work shy traits, ideal values.
