Your question is not the only question that deserve people's attention.

The following is more urgent!!!

----------
Taiwan is losing in all fronts, and it is not pretty.

It is surely worrisome.

It will get worse but not better. The whole island is filled with a sense of helplessness, hopelessness and uncertainty. Oh, it is the communists on the other side of the Strait of Taiwan who have taken away Taiwanese jobs and pride. Thus, they are the bad guys who stole the jobs and wealth that they do not deserve. It is them no doubt.

Instead of addressing the root causes of problems, Taiwanese politicians and media divert people's attention away from their own problems and blame everything on PRC, and if not PRC, then South-Korea.

It is all someone's fault. It is pretty convoluted mindset and perhaps psychologists can provide an analysis on how and why Taiwanese escape the reality.

See how Taiwan TV programs spread false information to put down Chinese in the mainland (and always Macau and Hong Kong):

Politicians, TV hosts and artists keep repeating very derogatory stories to put down and insult Chinese in the mainland everyday. The report about that Chinese in the mainland cannot even afford tea leaf egg is just one of the notorious examples of distorted reporting.

By doing so, Taiwanese can continue to feel proud about themselves, despite it is doing poorly in the economic and diplomatic fronts.

Not only the Chinese mainland has taken a lot of jobs away from Taiwan Island, South Korea is the foremost competitor among the 4 little dragons that beats Taiwan badly.

South Korea has Hyundai, LG and Samsung, and PRC has Haier, ZTE, Lenovo, and Huawei, what does Taiwan has today?

Taiwan should blame all these not on someone else but themselves for destroying their own political system, rule of law (or that is something they never have), and education system (which produces only low quality graduates).

That is call press freedom in case it is new to you. Don't take those DPP media too seriously.
