This article is bull shit. Low wages is the model of the past. Salary has to rise and domestic consumption grow, in order for China to become a developed country by 2023.

How many developed countries have low wages? None.

Yup!!

The west will say China is collapsing if GDP grows at below 10%.

But the west will say that all is well in EU and US. Even if the debt level of these countries is about to go overboard.

Expect Panasonic and Sharp to go under in one year. The Chinese consumer boycott over Diaoyu Islands is the final nail in their coffins.

POINT OF VIEW/ Tadashi Yanai: Why Uniqlo must expand further in China
what can Chinese should do with this ?

Tadashi Yanai
It was unfortunate, but at the height of the crisis we stopped using branded carrier bags. Across China, Uniqlo stores were instead giving shoppers transparent bags with no logo. That was in mid-September, when anti-Japan protests became more violent.
It sound that there is shameful

Nike sells a model of its basketball shoes with two air cushions for 125 U.S. dollars, or 800 yuan, in the United States, but the supposedly same product is priced at 1,299 yuan in China with only one air cushion. After discovering the company's unfair treatment of Chinese consumers, the Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce imposed a heavy fine on Nike, which attracted extensive public attention.

Nike is not the only one. From Apple's overbearing repair policy and Toyota's "secret recall" of its Crown sedans to Hermes' refusal to provide goods inspection services in China, the frequent unfair practices of large multinational corporations have caused increasing discontent among Chinese consumers in recent years.
