China is about the size of the USA and have four and a half times the population of the USA. One of its cities Chengdu was voted the World's most livable city. The economy of China has been strong at the expense of the USA, unfair trade practices.
God is punishing China its air and water pollution is killing and destroying the quality of lives for many. Over 70% of its fresh water bodies are not even fit for agriculture use and 95% of its major cities have air quality way below international standards. If something is not done about it and it is getting worst not better China will suffered serious consequences.

You live in Shenzhen if I am not correct, that city have air quality problems and many people in that city also boil their water before they drink it. Don't say I have not told you, encourage your present country to clean up or else you will suffered and stop bad mouthing America.

Due to this "Great Recession" (thanks to you), Shenzhen's got clear blue skies 2/3 of the year.

People boil water everywhere in Asia (except a few places). No big deal.

You sure your tap water is safe?

In China over 70% of the fresh body waters are not even fit for agriculture use. I suggest that you should filter your water and then boil it while in China. Yes we are in a big hole right now in America but we will come out on top as usual and China will once again kowtow to us and beg us for help.

You only have to goggle airpollution and you will find articles like:
16 of the worlds 20 most polluted cities are in China.
20 of the worlds 30 most polluted citied are in China.
So your post is correct.

But to be fair to the chinese they have at least acknowledge the problem and tries to find alternative solutions.

Todays development in China:Higher livingstandards combined with new coalbased powerplants will make China drop like a rock on the H.P.I scale, the fall has already begun!

Mother Earth hopes that China finds solutions to their pollution problem real soon!

Not just China. While China does produce more CO2 these days as a country it is paled into insignificance by so called developed nations. America, for example is producing 19.48 tonnes per 1000 people in America compared with 2.66 tonnes per 1000 people in China. That's over 7 times the rate of China!

China came in 80th place in the CO2 production tables per head(capita). That is a long way behind America in 5th place, Australia in 8th place and Canada in 9th place.

Not that CO2 is the only form of polution but it's the one they are making the most fuss about these days.

I canīt say that i disagree with your post old china.
The H.P.I scale supports your post,In western Europe,China would be ranked just after us, At place no3.
The H.P.I scale also shows that Chinaīs carbon footprint the last 8 years is increasing fast, can you break that trend?

So old china,It looks like when you are distributing your carbon footprint on all your citizens you still have a rather small carbon footprint compared to western countries.

With that said old china!Reread snowflakes, mine and your previous posts and think for a minute,Is it not something really worrying about your post?
Not for me ,but for YOU the Chinese people!

What worries me is that if the developed nations cannot cut back to China's footprint level then what chance has China got with less technology of cutting back even further?

Perhaps the rich countries would just like to see China reduced to a hunter gatherer level of society so that they can continue to maintain their own unsustainable lifestyles?

Not that I believe that CO2 is causing climate change - it's a very flawed science. But I think that there are more serious forms of polution that need to be more urgently addressed. These are largely in the manufacturing industries where the consumer is not paying a fair price that allows the development of new technology. And if that technology is installed will we still have a market or do the likes of Walmart shift to other even less developed countries?

Yes America per capita is the biggest polluter on earth, we are finally getting rid of some of our gas guzzling cars. Those wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are generating a lot of pollution and burning up a lot of energy, plus many of those ammos contained uranium, Yes need to look ourselves in the mirror sometimes. China is at least doing something about it, it is going to lead the world in green energy soon if not already so---geothermal energy, wind, solar, ocean wave regeneration, et al. However industrial and residential and personal waste treatment is still far behind the west, although they put up several hundred waste treatment plants just in the three river gorges area alone.

well, over 300,000 miles of rivers and streams, as well as 5,000,000 acres of lakes are polluted in the United States, yet you see Americans are screaming at chinese to curb pollution. The CO2 emission of china and united states is almost equal. In US, deaths caused by air pollution every year is 70,000.

Of course you need money, without money it is not even possible to build stuff like nuclear power plants and solar power plants, it's not like Americans are going to give them out for free.

I have read reports as high as 210,000 deaths stemming from air pollution in the USA. In China it is over a half million per year . But either way we need to do more for pollution control. The USA harped at other people because we police the world, we are the world leader . If we do not do it who will? We are are not perfect but we try our best though.

i don't know what your rant is about but the china govt spent almost $5 billion/year fighting pollution by diluting carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to clear up the sky. in fact, they were one of the highest country, probably first (i don't remember), that used renewable energy and a big player in the UN that advocating natural awareness.

now you can advocate and talk $hit all you want, but under a developing stage of industralized economy, it is IMPOSSIBLE to develop any further without going through the roof of emitting pollution.

i love how idiots, such as yourself, talk about pollution, yet have no idea how to stop it nor offering any valuable commendation to eliminate this contagious gas. heh, you can talk "green" like all the developed countries chanted "go green, go green".

question is how the fuk do we go green? plan more trees? heh ineffective. lol

Lol. Who appointed the US the leader of the world? US has been dragging its feet on the Kyoto Accord and now the Cobenhagen Agreement. To the rest of the world, US is not a leader but an obstructioner.

Stop being delusional. Uncle Sam is stuck in a QUAGMIRE invading Iraq and Afghanistan, 2 small countries with 28 million people. And you're going to take on China, population 1,330 million?

The rest of the world has taken note of the Uncle's Quagmire in those 2 small countries. Thus, NO respect.

And U.S. has 1/4 of China's population, so death per capita is much higher in U.S. due to your 80 % urbanization.

If only you were to believe in the media propaganda. Nobody is and can be the world leader, and no other nation ever look to another for such nonexisting leadership. During the Cold War, the Europeans needs the US to counter-balance the threat from USSR, as so it tolerated the US boasting of its self-proclaimed leadership. Not anymore. Its all about self-interest.

The USA can only take so much of the Chinese pollution because it is making so many plant and animals threaten and some have already become extinct. Shock and awe is coming go to your bomb shelters, don't think the USA will not do it it did so to Iraq and Afghanistan.
