Half of Chinese products are fake and/or poisoned. That's why they're number one.

You mean that you have a natural desire to buy fake and poisoned products and China is happy to supply them to you?

Gitmo Bush deserves more credit for this. Obama is just cleaning up his mess.

Anyway, the guy after Obama has to do the handover in 2018, when China becomes the world's largest economy.

OK. China has done a good job.

Lets wait & see for impacts.

That doesn't mean the end of the world for USA.

A wealthier China may mean more opportunities for N. America.

The transfer of jobs to China started in the 1980's. Reagan along with Congress took away our tariff laws. Until then if a product was produced outside the USA when it camr into America there was a hefty Tariff. This was a tax to keep American goods competitive with the Third World labor force. Before the 80's you may as well make it in the USA because when it comes to America a heavy tax must be paid. Once you take down this tax that product is much cheaper than you can make it here. This along with Trickle down economics created a society of fewer very wealthy and many very low middle class and poor.

That is complete BS. We buy from China as other countries do. Greedy unions and greedy management plus government regulations have made US products over priced worldwide. Add a tariff for US products going into other countries and that's what you get.
Its not rocket science bonehead.

mr. sweetheart, the chinese took the jobs no one want to do in the states. do you want to make linen towels or christmas toys? the chinese have been keeping the u.s and the rest of the world's inflation low. now the chinese started to outsource those dead end jobs to vietcongs, pinoys, indons, indians etc. the next 30 years, chinese would truly compete head on with the west. good luck for the next 30 years, some of the products may smell like napalm, banana or curry.
