Actually there is information about what "designs" can last for 25 years and beyond. Back in the 1970's ARCO was the major manufacturer of solar panels for retail sale in the U.S. Some of those very panels are still being used today. What Mr. Jhenshuang seems to have missed is there is enough information available to determine the warranty period of solar PV products. If the Chinese manufacturers cannot meet the required warranty period, then they will fail in the world market. In the solar PV field where robotics and materials quality control have improved over the decades of panel manufacturing, a 22% failure rate screams something is very wrong along the product manufacturing line.
