BEIJING: Taiwan, HK reminded to stick to One-China principle

Nov 8, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Asia News Network

In his last major speech as Communist Party chief, Chinese President Hu Jintao yesterday issued reminders - some say warnings - to "compatriots" in Taiwan and Hong Kong to adhere to the One-China principle.

==========
Hong Kong & Taiwan as Revenging History
==========
Although the country has presently recuperated Hong Kong, its pursuit of Taiwan represents the desire to avenge humiliation, to reunite China as a whole

Nonetheless, it is interesting to see Taiwan’s continued independence being used by the Chinese government. Taiwan is such a useful scapegoat representing powerful emotions and a symbol and reminder of the abuse of the Chinese nation. Consequently, it serves a purpose by empowering the Chinese and uniting them towards a common goal: the avengement of history.

I'm from hong kong, i believe all cantonese should support democrazy, why? coz Dr. Sun is the cantonesee who bring democrazy with him and back to mainland China.

If cantonese do not support democrazy or the free voting system, that's mean they are the traitor to all cantonese----no matter they are from thai, malaysia, singapore

Now communist have no traditional culture, lauguage, writing, philosophy after the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution.

Over 80% people cannot read and write traditional chinese, the communist so called-simplify chinese. Mandarin is base on the Beijing dialet which is mix with Mongalian & Manchuria style, this is not traditional chinese. Rolling tongue all the time when they speak..even some vocabulary are not the same. After the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, the communist also give up confucianism, taoism, chinese religion and even kung-fu, they don't have a sense of moral just because they kick out all traditional culture.

Since communist wash all traditional culture, they are not deserve to call themselves as "CHINESE"

In this case, if you ask who should leave China, i will say not hong kongese, taiwanese...The one should leave is YOU- COMMUNIST

p.s**unless the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution and Tiananmen Square massacre is not real. Unfortunately, thousands of camera take photo and no photoshop in 1989

CCP's Greatest Fear : the Second Mao's Coming
==========
Will there be a Second Mao Coming to resolve the Great Divide of China?

(Important: the term "Mao" used here is not strictly about Mao himself - But about how Chinese, rich & poor, rural & city, educated & ignorant, young & old, elite & common people ... react consciously or subconsciously, in small scale or large scale,... to the great divide of China - Mao is only a most recent historical example of China's sociopolitical inter-reaction in a pressing desire for change)

I don't think so. Maybe recently China seems to be a single-party ruled country, but the Communist is trying to gradually reform its political system. You could get something from the recent TWO MEETINGS in Beijing.

china will continue to reform to match its economic level. from mao era to present day politics, we all witness tremendous changes have been made. ccp will no doubt continue to evolve with more transparency, more participatory politics in the next 20 yrs. the politicians in china are pragmatic and extremely capable to usher china to a new height.

However, I deeply hope for a more democratic and open china! If the CCP can delegate more power to other parties and common people, it'll be better.
Also, we citizens should understand the law more and exercise our civic rights!

dont forget ccp come from common people!! any common people can be a politician if they choose to. there are few factions within the ccp, each faction has very specific idea how china should be run. the formal policy announced to the public in fact have been contested, debated among the factions. they usually have to compromise each faction's political objectives.

civic rights come with civic responsibilities and supported by moral responsibilities. are ALL chinese ready yet?? from your experience, how many neighbours of yours talk about civic and moral responsibilities? i bet everybody talk about civic rights!!!
it takes time for chinese society to mature. or china to adopt the singapore model, to cultivate social and moral responsibilities by force.

Yep! Civic responsibility is the most important thing that we should remember and carry out in everyday life. This winter vacation, I travel to Hong Kong, and what impressed me most is the way hongkong people behave themselves. They never smoke in public, never eat on metro, and queue up conscientiously whenever it needs to do so, and so many others phenomena. And I think you are right! The mainland china needs to raise our civic responsibility and moral responsibility. By the time the majority of us are aware of these and perform well, china could get the respect of the whole world!

hk culture is the mainly from guangdong culture, you should get more information from wiki. Before u learn your traditional chinese writing, i don't need to talk to you. you are just a slave of manchuria. if i give you Tang dynasty poem, you cannot read coz u just know simplified chinese.

Also culture is nothing relate to money (penny), shame on your point of view

I think communist will be defeat by one day "only" without any soldier injury and losing of air fighter.... Do you know how? make a guess everyone..

i'm not kidding, it's really work

==========
China Overtaking American
==========
After 1997; two brothers, one Mainland Chinese and one Hongkongnese, met in Beijing after many years apart

The one from Beijing said:
- Now, our superior CCPeed country is at the height of wisdom and in a very short time, we will surpass the powerful America
The one from Hong Kong said
- No, do not ever pass the American, we should stay along side only.
Beijing man asked
- Why not overtake America ? How so ?
Hong Kong man replied
- If we pass America, America will see our torn pant over our naked & stinky butt.
