When the tourists from Hong Kong were hijacked by ex-Manila police officer Mendolza (2 to 3 year years ago, how did the Filipino officials treat them?
Finally, 8 Hong Kong tourists got killed and 20 injured. The officials including President Acquino were caught laughing at camera. This stupid behavior not only was caught by cameras but broadcast live all over the world. That is why we knew of such unbelievable behavior of Filipino officials!!!
*** The killer's family covered the coffin of the killer with the Philippines national flag. When China protested, Filipinos got angry and accused China of interfering into PH's internal affairs.
It is unbelievable. National flag for the coffin of a serial killer.
2,000+ people showed up in Mendolza's funeral to say good-bye to a serial killer as if he was a national hero.
Caretakers of funeral home opened the caskets of the victims for photography.
Stupid Filipinos posed in front of the bus (crime scene) where so many innocent people got killed and injured as if it is a sight-seeing spot. Filipinos are cold-blooded and know no shame and respect of other people (e.g. victims and families.)
But they love to badmouth others, and many America users called this behavior Filipino backstabbing.
No apology for killing, or apology for just mishandling the case by the Manila police and officials.
When Hong Kong Police launched an investigation in the crime scene with the visas and permits issued by the PH government, the HK Police were met with many more obstacles in Manila. For instance, they were not allowed to get close to the crime scene/bus. It was guarded by heavily armed PH soldiers and Manila police.(What are they afraid? HK Police allowed to visit the crime scene were all unarmed.)(So PH loved to play with "show of force". The use fully armed soldiers to harrass and capture unarmed civilian fishermen in South China Sea too.)
Hong Kong govt protested against the PH govt for not keeping the agreement of allowing the HK team to check the crime scene. A week later, the HK team were finally allowed to enter the bus and the bus was no longer guarded by heavily armed people.
But the bus was emptied and no traces of evidence left. The HK Police team got nothing in their investigation.
That is how arrogant and dirty the Filipinos are.
But yet it all situations, in addition to showing their military power, they at the same time love to portray themselves as victims.
None of your business.

We should have the rights to do whatever we like in our own country.

enough of that !!! lets say that china owns that island but thats history .. lets just follow the new law of the sea.
It is clear you don't understand UNCLOS. You just abitrarily say things to confuse the issue.

UNCLOS has no jurisdiction over territories acquired by countries through history before the existence of UNCLOS.

UNCLOS cannot go restrospectively to remove the sovereignty rights of China from the islands. This is explicitly and ambiguously stated in UNCLOS and it is not subject to any dispute.

It is good that you Pinoys finally say that China owns the islands based on history. But your dream for UNCLOS to invalidate retrospectively China's rights will never come true.

Now what is in your hearts is clear.

i do think that each country deserves to voice up their evidences and proofs, laws, etc, what not in the situation. Let's all be rational people. We can't keep on judging on the past. Not all people in each country were practically involved in what the leader or army, some people, etc. choose to do.I mean , it wasn't all of the people's fault some things happen. But i do think that China can't claim all of the islands in South china sea. though, further evidences could prove each sides wrong. I do hope that they would atleast not ignore each other regarding things. We can't force people to do things which they dislike. Until all comes in an agreement, i think touching the islands or even checking on them should be limited or at least patrolled by a 3rd party to maintain peace or lessen the tension until this is all resolved.
