The Philippines is creating trouble everywhere these days. Is this country a victim or an aggressor? They say they are victims and want to appeal to the law for "justice". Yet they violate exisitng laws and treaties again and again to suit their own interests.

American user CG criticised a Filipino nationalist fanatic for Pinoys' absurd behavior and lack of integrity in handling land disputes. I replied to CG to give him more information about the treaties and laws the Philippines has deliberately ignored and violated although the Philippines govt and people are adamant to use the laws to fulfil its dreams over land acquisition.
Look, I appreciate your passion but you simply cannot continue to write this way. I expect that you are a decent enough person and national pride is strong within your veins. However, the Philippines has ignored countless treaties and accords. From the Spratly Islands to the VFA, the Philippines picks and chooses which laws it wishes to obey.
Squatting is what this issue is truly about. Those in the disputed land have no rights to it.
Pinoys ignore their own constitutional laws enacted in their Parliament in the 1960's. Such laws were created on the basis of the many int'l treaties including Treaty of Paris.
Such laws and treaties have clearly stipulated that the border of the Philippines on the west side is marked by the 118 degree east longititudinal line. Pinoys now ignore this line.
The Philippines also has made a declaration to invalidate UNCLOS' authority over sovereignty disputes as a condition for the Philippines to sign the UNCLOS.
Thus UNCLOS has no authority over Philippines' sovereignty disputes. But as an expediency now, Pinoys ignore what they made in the past to suit their own motives and actions.
Then Pinoys have disputes with Malaysia over Sabah. I would hate to see Sabah being taken over by the Philippines. Being an ex-Singaporean, I know Sabahans will be better off to stay within the federation of Malaysia.
Philippines thinks Sabah is part of its territory. But despite they say the deal with Malaysia is only a lease in perpetuity, but either Manila nor Sulu Sultan Kiram III can produce any written documentation to support such an allegation. But Malaysia can produce the original document to prove that Sabah was ceded to the British.
Because of Filipino nationalism and greed, they ignore the facts that they have a very weak basis (relative to Malaysia's) for their land claim. They also ignore the fact the Sabah joined Malaysia in 1962 after a referendum, and Malaysia has effective control and administration over this piece of territory continuously since then.
Philippines ran into conflicts with so many countries PRC (China), ROC (Taiwan), Malaysia, Brunei, and even with Vietnam because both countries are competing for the same pieces of rocks in the South China Sea.
Yet Filipinos portray themselves as victims.
The root of the conflicts is Filipino greed. Are they really vicitms?
They have no integrity and pride as a people and a nation!
They exploit UNCLOS to their own advantage rather than for justice.

Why some people do not have the gut to show their location?
On clandestine operations funded by CIA/NED?
