Oh, another stupid comment without any merit at all. You're really trying hard to prove that you monkeys are able to invent something. I give you an A for effort. But you still haven't shown us anything to prove your point. Just speculation...

China has been the source of many inventions,[1] including the Four Great Inventions: papermaking, the compass, gunpowder, and printing (both woodblock and movable type). The list below contains these and other inventions.

The Chinese invented technologies involving mechanics, hydraulics, and mathematics applied to horology, metallurgy, astronomy, agriculture, engineering, music theory, craftsmanship, nautics, and warfare. By the Warring States Period (403–221 BC), they had advanced metallurgic technology, including the blast furnace and cupola furnace, while the finery forge and puddling process were known by the Han Dynasty (202 BC – AD 220). A sophisticated economic system in China gave birth to inventions such as paper money during the Song Dynasty (960–1279). The invention of gunpowder by the 10th century led to an array of inventions such as the fire lance, land mine, naval mine, hand cannon, exploding cannonballs, multistage rocket, and rocket bombs with aerodynamic wings and explosive payloads. With the navigational aid of the 11th-century compass and ability to steer at high sea with the 1st-century sternpost rudder, premodern Chinese sailors sailed as far as East Africa and Egypt.[2][3][4] In water-powered clockworks, the premodern Chinese had used the escapement mechanism since the 8th century and the endless power-transmitting chain drive in the 11th century. They also made large mechanical puppet theaters driven by waterwheels and carriage wheels and wine-serving automatons driven by paddle wheel boats.

Mapping of initial anti-aging formula: Chinese researchers in Hong Kong found that a mutation in the Lamin A protein disrupted the repair process in cells, thus resulting in accelerated aging. In their latest work using both mice and experiments in petri dishes, they found that normal and healthy Lamin A binds to and activates the gene SIRT1, which experts have long associated with longevity. This was published in the December 2012 issue of the journal Cell Metabolism.[

Measurement of neutrino mixing angle θ13:The Daya Bay experiment in China reported the measurement of the parameter θ13 in March 2012.] An important contribution to particle physics, this was named one of the runners-up breakthrough of the year in 2012 by Science

Non-invasive prenatal diagnostic testing for Down's Syndrome: Previously, women underwent invasive testing such as amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling (CVS). This new maternal blood test has the potential to reduce the number of women referred for invasive testing for Down's syndrome by 98 percent. Developed by Chinese researchers in Hong Kong in 2008, this is hailed as a breakthrough.

I question how China "copy" and "steal" from the "Great" West?
You beg China for money and China needs to buy your techniques, that's trade. And China r&d by itself, the result is merely similar to yours, are you claiming all similar things are each other's copies?
BTW, are there now any westerner pay patent fee to China for gunpowder, compass, papermaking technology and printing?

They're your claims. How about you provide evidence for them?

E.g your claim about a test for downs syndrome? Utter bullshit. The drug was developed and made by a US company called natera.

Your claim about the Daya Bay experiments? Utter bullshit. It's a multinational effort. Your claim is the same as saying any discoveries made in CERN are Swiss.

The excuse that everyone else does it as well is a childish answer. Can you blame people for not trusting China when they do this repeatedly? What a nice country. A country of 1.3 billion people and not one person with enough ability to come up with an original idea.
Which country develops everything from scratch?

Not Japan and not USA.

You make such accusations of China only because you are ignorant and biased.

Japan never has too much contribution to scientific research. It copied consumer manufacturing products and technologies from the west and perfect it. Eventually it dominated the international consumer product market. It is renowned by producing fancy and reliable consumer products but not scientific invention.

Do you think USA invent everything? No.

Its science and technology tradition was inherited from Europe and on that basis it successful turned itself into a giant of invention and science research with the participation of the cream of the crops from all over the world - Jews, Chinese, Indian, European immigrants...

OK. USA is the foremost super power in science development and industry, for instance, in space and missile technology. No doubt.

But USA did not invent rockets and develop the technology from scratch. It is based on German technology. When Hitler surrendered, USA inherited all the top former Nazi scientists. Do you know about Dr. Von Braun, Hitler's lead rocket scientists. He and his whole team and families were accepted by the USA govt. They settled down in Huntsville, Alabama and continue to live and work for USA. Nazi Germany was a lot more advanced in this field than UK, France and USA. After the war, USA jumped to the top by copying from Von Braun's team.

You do not understand of course.

*** But if UK, and Germany and USA and Russia are so admirable in their science achievements, what does it have to do with you, an Australian. Related to you because you are white and speak English?

Australia, is worse than Canada, has a very weak research and industry basis, and mainly live on exporting natural resources. But you are lucky that you have occupied a large piece of land with small population and a lot of resources.(Aussie universities are weak in research in general.)

That is the reason why you and Canadians can live such a good life. Actually both countries do not have much to boast off as far as science is concerned. But Canada is close to USA and is better than Australia. We get some research funded by USA corporations here.

Other than that Australia is only famous for weird people and losers such as Pauline Hanson and loser/crook Kevin Rudd. The good person that many people like (incl. myself) is entertainer Crocodile Dundee.

You economy and industry system are very primitive.
