India's army reportedly spent six months watching "Chinese spy drones" violating its air space, only to find out they were actually Jupiter and Venus.

Tensions have been high in the disputed Himalayan border area between the two nations in recent years, with India frequently accusing its neighbour of making incursions onto its territory.

Things came to a head during a stand-off in April when Chinese troops were accused of erecting a camp on the Indian side of the de facto boundary known as the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

By that stage, Indian troops had already documented 329 sightings of unidentified objects over a lake in the border region, between last August and February, according to the Calcutta-based Telegraph.

It quotes military sources as saying the objects violated the LAC 155 times. So, the army called the Indian Institute of Astrophysics to identify the objects. "Our task was to determine whether these unidentified objects were celestial or terrestrial," astronomer Tushar Prabhu told the paper.

Only once the objects' movements were noted in relation to the stars were they identified as planets. The Telegraph suggests the sentry ought to be forgiven, with planets appearing brighter as a result of the different atmosphere at altitude and the increased use of surveillance drones.

War is bad. Peace and sleeping with Filipina prostitutes is good. I'm hoping India will stop all this war nonsense. We have no stake in the outcome but I'm betting India gets its ass whooped.

Yeah, just like the skinny kid provoking the bigger kid until the bigger kid kicked his skinny ass.

Then the skinny kid makes excuses to show himself as the victim.

It was quite an amusing video in youtube.

See the stark similarity with the India vs China scenario?

Yep. India needs to accept that China doesn't give a rat's ass about it and is no threat to India. China's naval build up is focused on defending itself from American meddling and its precarious oil supply line. Don't undermine or complicate this defensive move and China will gladly keep the borders quiet and peaceful. The recent border incidents were a gentle reminder of this and a response to India sticking its nose into the dispute regarding the ownership of a couple of tiny shoals, reefs and islands in the South China Sea. India's recent actions and chumminess with Japan have also pushed Russia, who has its own tiny islands disputes with Japan, closer to China and resulted in Russia's sale of advanced fighters and submarines to China. Hopefully, India will grow up and not alienate its two neighboring superpowers in exchange for the paternalism of a distant one.

If more than 3,000 years of existance is not enough time for India to grow up. I doubt it ever will.

It seems that Indians are going to remain narrow minded stone age primitives, because they refuse to evolve.
