To my experience, the game is near, China is Commie's country, commie do lots of trick to let the world see her arm is open but wait until the end of the game, her arm will be closed and who ever has big mouth about Tibet, Falun Gong, Earth quake compensasion etc... Go to jail .
Why do I know that experience ?. From my Commie country, Vietnam wants to meet WTO's reqirements she released politic prisoners out of jail, she lets all religious movements be free to talk, to celerbrate. Once Vietnam got WTO treaty signed, she crush all who did bad and against Gov't

Good points. This may just be another "Hundred Flowers" campaign to more easily identify future victims of the dictators.

If you pay attention to those who ever try to rationale for "Good China" in any forums, but particular in this NetTopix, they all do the same book, they all over the world and again, same book. That's order from Hammer & Sickle.

When we debate to the certain points, they deny and fade away for few days or weeks and then other commies come out with new nick, new IP :)

California same-sex marriage fight draws big money on both sides

The California Supreme Court ruling in May legalizing same-sex marriage galvanized people on both sides of the issue, but it appears to have opened supporters' pocketbooks even more.

A Mercury News analysis of campaign fundraising reports filed Thursday shows gay-marriage supporters raised about $1.6 million since the May 15 court ruling - almost three times more than the groups supporting a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage raised in late May and June.

The flurry of donations pushed the lead groups fighting Proposition 8's ban slightly ahead of their opponents in fundraising efforts over the first half of 2008. The total does not include several large donations a major gay rights group - Equality for All - received in July that were not included in the latest campaign filings.

What a liar you are!
I use only this name, and no proxies(don't need them in the free world!).

Look! Under the table! It's the (fill in the blank with: Dalai Lama, Falun Gong, Cia, etc. etc.)!
Ha Ha Ha!

Just because YOU are dishonest, lie, and use multiple proxies, it doesn't mean that everybody else is a devious coward too! Just you and your gang of Red Guards!

"Quiet Diplomacy" serves only the tyrants, it seems!

"A spokesman for Amnesty International said: "It's good news that our site has been unblocked in Olympic venues and perhaps elsewhere in Beijing, but it is still a long way from the 'complete media freedom' promised. It seems public outrage has succeeded where the IOC's 'quiet diplomacy' had failed.""

I see a lot of self satisying people here only want to hear and agree with what they want to hear. Well, if that makes you happy so be it. But doubt this kind of thing will change reality.

Such is the hypocrisy of this regime that just for a window of three to four weeks they let their mushroom population have a glimpse at the truth that is out there.
Come post Olympics, it is back to the incessant Propaganda-Lies from the CCP’s own mouthpiece Xinhua etc.
This is but a tiny drop of the promises and undertakings they signed up to with hosting the Olympics, but then the CCP has never honoured anything they signed in the past, so why should the Olympics be any different.
It probably is inconsequential anyway, as their citizenry is so programmed that they either won’t dare to look, or won’t believe the truth if they see it.

haha.. That would be the Chinese Communist Party not people in the West. People in the West can always agree to disagree but China it is the party way or jail. That's why there is no opposition, no other voices to counter the CCP. You live in the West and you don't understand that concept of diversity of opinions and give and take of debate?? You're must be really slow.

Here is a debate in Communist China. The CCP is the best, it can never do any wrong. I disagree, the CCP better than your best. It is the greatest. And this goes on day in and day out throughout Communist China. LOL

Fwd below is a return letter from Terrell A. Minarcin a representer for
Senator Pam Roach toward VN ambassador Nguyen tam Chien's letter to him concerning of Viet Kieu's freedom flag of fomer South Vietnam. Readers can read and understand CCP is the same with VCP both are liars

FWD: http://www.thienlybuutoa.org/Misc/ReplyLetter...

Mr. Ambassador; February 23, 2004

I recently received a copy of your letter to State Senator Pam Roach dated February 10, 2004. I would like to respond to that letter.

If any other country had written this letter, it would be, simply put, laughable. But it was your country, Mr. Ambassador, communist Vietnam. Your country has never honorably or honestly met the protocols of any international agreement that you are a signatory to. Yet, you hide behind these agreements only when they suit your fancy. When individuals, such as myself or Mr. M. Benge, or organizations, such as Amnesty International or Freedom House, or Human Rights Watch, charge your country with numerous counts of violations of human rights or worse, you immediately respond by saying that the matters we are concerned with are internal matters and that we are interfering with your country's policies. So be it. You are interfering with due process here in the State of Washington in matters that do not concern you. How we honor the contributions of individuals or ethnic communities here in Washington is of no concern to you. Quit interfering in our internal matters.

You want us to recognize and honor your flag. The flag represents a country that has promulgated pogroms of genocide, fratricide and international slave trafficking. I, as a resident of the State of Washington, can not condone such behavior. How dare you insist that I do? To do so makes me an accomplice to your egregious crimes against humanity.

Since it's pretty apparent you do not practice this logic, you must be a CCP member then.

The only thing you have been doing on here is condemning and name-calling anyone who disagrees with you even the slightest.

Better watch what you write.

Oh I do support diversity of opinion, so do the Chinese people. You can try to discuss politics anyway you want in China, just the political process is different if you want to take action. If you don;t understand the difference then you don't know jack about China.

On the other hand, I really dispise speeches without reason. Especially spechees that pretens one is right when no proof have been given (what you are doing all the time). So I don't agree or disagree for the sake of agreeing or disagreeing, I do so based on logical sense which your posts obvious lacks. In that sense, I believe people here and those from China posting here are proven to be critical thinkers unlike what you claim. Although it doesn't take much to see the idiocy in your posts.

i think it's funny that this topic popped up right ater the news, that the bocog announced censorship of the internet.
and not only that: even classic foreign print newspapers are first sighted before they reach the journalists. which takes a few days...

and now even the IOC is pissed off by the chinese censorship. because journalists are not able to work with the internet, like they could in other countrys.

i mean blocking the falun gong pages i can almost understand, because the chinese keep telling theirself that it's a dangerous cult. but blocking the website of "deutsche welle"? it's a worldwide german news company...

the best comment was of a chinese who mentioned that falun gong and children porn is illegal in china, when asked why news websites are blocked...

sounds like "oh yea we blocked some very very dangerous websites. like falun gong, children porn, bbc, deutsche welle and amnesty international". lol!

"The political process is just different" ---are you really that naive and foolish?

I think you have never been to China with an ignorant comment like that!
