you and i would have to pay the 230 billion in taxes, also who would wash dishes cut up the vegetables and deliver your food at those wages??? prices would go sky high if they were deported
Don't you get it?
We are paying for it.
THE HIGH COST OF CHEAP TOMATOES!!!!!!
•$11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens
each year.
•$2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs
such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.
•$2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal
aliens.•$12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school
education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word
of English!
•$17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the
American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies.
•$3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens.
• 30% of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.
•$90 Billion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for Welfare &
social services by the American taxpayers.
•$200 Billion Dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused
by the illegal aliens.• The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's
two and a half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In
particular, their children, are going to make a huge additional
crime problem in the United States.
• During the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens
that crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal
aliens from Terrorist Countries. Millions of pounds of drugs,
cocaine, meth, heroine and marijuana, crossed into the U. S. from
the Southern border. Homeland Security Report:• The National Policy Institute "estimated that the total cost of
mass deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion or an
average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five
year period."
• In 2006 illegal aliens sent home $45 BILLION in remittances back
to their countries of origin. So if deporting them costs between $206 and $230 BILLION DOLLARS,

We are subsidizing labor.
Don't you get it?
Add up the numbers above. That money is coming from our taxes.
$22 billion
$2.2 billion
$2.5 billion
$12 billion
$17 billion
$3 billion
$90 billion
$200 billion
add this up
What would you say if we wrote a check of this size and sent it to say, Halliburton. Why is the united states subsudizing private business. But that's what we are doing every day when we are paying for illegals!

Well you will know better of course but my impression is that the best education in the 50s was only available to those who could afford private school fees. For the rest it was only average for the Latin American region. Since then it has outstripped improvements in almost every other country. The Nazis (since you mention Hitler) could claim no improvement in high education standards. In the 6 years they had power before WW2 govt spending was diverted from state education to the military.
We enjoy our affluence, democracy, human rights and liberty but I dont kid myself that it doesn't come at a price paid by billions of others who deserve it no less than I do. Cuba is one example of how to improve their lives by not following the rules of the rich and powerful. It can do better and so could the UK and every other country. Simple it isn't Mr Dont Care.

And all they have to give up is their freedom and hope to improve their lot in life, which is why so many risk their very lives to float across shark infested oceans, braving storms and the possibility of never being seen again to get to the US.

Tragic indeed but how do these many differ from the millions of economic migrants all over the world who take the same risks with no 'dry foot' incentives, welcoming exiles or Brothers to (the) Rescue them?

The Cuban regime undoubtedly has some anxieties about US media domination of the internet but like other visitors I was surprised at the proliferation of Hollywood and European movies on Cuban TV and cant see restrictions on internet access being sustained. Many homes (as well as most schools) already have computers so the law against ownership has either been openly flouted or there were thousands of exemptions.

Because it doesn't suit anti-Cuba propaganda it is seldom reported that the 1996 Helms-Burton law bars Cuban use of a high-capacity, fiber-optic underwater cable running close to the island. Cuba is confined to low-capacity satellite linkages that limit Internet exchanges to a mere 124 megabytes per second for incoming communications and 65 megabytes per second for outgoing messages.

The regime is loosening up but meanwhile you cant have it both ways.

In saying you cant have it both ways I forgot you Liger. You of course continue to have it all ways by projecting your multiple identity crisis onto others. This leaves you tragically incapable of any coherent discussion.
