I am sure, this is most likely, a worthy endeavor, but why does it always have to be us....especially while China is buying up every natural resource on the continent?

More of Obummers bone headed decisions. We need to mind our own business like Ron Paul suggests. Our troops belong here not running all over the world.

We would be better served if the troops were sent to the Mexican border to battle the drug cartels. What the hell do we care about Uganda, the forsaken butt of the globe? Obama reveals his utter stupidity more each day.

Sure Obama, let's just get into another pointless war. Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya are not enough! Can we also start a war with Iran too now?

Let me enlighten you my friend. These obama troops do nothing but incite the tribes against each other then plunder your resources. You should protest against this by all means!

george w. bush, tony blair, and the french and belgian gov'ts were all behind this conspiracy. They are the ones who should be facing the ICC not Kabila. But of course, they are untouchable. Still, that doesnt give Obama the right to propagate the evils and war crimes of those criminals, and more so since since he has African blood.

I don't know what the answer is as to whether or not the US should be in the Congo with forces now. I think the world at large should help. To stand by and merely witness suffering on a large scale just seems morally wrong. It seems to me that action should have been taken before the latest insugrency occured. I wish we (the US) would have assisted with building the infrastructre for the nation, putting the Congolese people to work at a better than the average wage to help bolster the economy and to encourage business opportunities for the local citizens. Of coarse doing this without blundering the nation's resources for selfish gain in the process. It would have been less costly to the US rather than throwing aid and sending soildiers after the fact. Reactionary measures rarely seem productive.

You are absolutely right. Most americans really mean good to africa but the problem is that the U.S gov't still has IMPERIALISTIC MOTIVES AND TENDENCIES. Even obama, a black man, can do NOTHING bcoz imperialism is firmly rooted in the U.S gov't. Americans have n are always FED PROPAGANDA to cover the U.S gov't's TERRORISTIC DEEDS under the guise of communism, arab terrorists, african rebels etc etc
