President Barack Obama vowed to "detect and pursue" American tax evaders Monday as he announced a plan to close tax loopholes and clamp down on overseas shelters.

Actually he gave his appointed tax evaders a free pass .... No penality, no jail time, no nothing ....

I remember a while back Pro surfer Sunny Garcia was ordered to spend sometime (1 yr ??) in jail for not paying his taxes, but Oh bummers tax evading appointees get off free as a bird...

this is a tax increase for every american since corp. do NOT pay taxes, the consumer pay it for them. the corp. raises its prices, the consumer pays it, the gov. gets more of the consumers money. the term loophole means a deduction, just as the mortgage interest on your home or the deduction for your children, these are loopholes.

Close tax loop hole? The lobbyists and their politician clients will not allow it. Obama may propose and veto but capital hill may still do want they want. If there is any loop hole closing it will be a joke. Obama should remember that to the smart businessman and corperation -there is always a way around the loophole closings with the help of their friend on their senate or house seat.
