Obama is stepping up to the plate now in taking on the corporate tax havens. This should have been done by previous administrations. Interesting to watch which of our lobby sucking Congressmen vote against his proposals.

You have to laugh at this. This is from a clueless community organizer who stacked his cabinet with tax cheats. Jeez, the bum running the Treasury Department and the IRS is an admitted tax cheat.

This is a great competitive advantage for other foreign companies who don't have to pay taxes for their foreign operations. There will be more US companies go out of business or they will have to drastically cut their operations. With the economy in the toilet, this is just another coup-de-grace from the Obama administration to kill businesses so that Obama can finalize his program of nationalization and eventually turn the US into a socialist country.

I wonder if he will initiate an investigation to determine how many members of Congress have secreted their assets in offshore tax havens. Would be very interesting.

This is what happens when people elect someone based on their color and NOT their policies.

When are people going to realize that "trickle up" economics DOES NOT work!

200 businesses sent a letter in March opposing the tax changes that haven't been defined. Here's the perfect opportunity for the non-biased media to do some digging. I think the public would love to see these companies identified, how many american workers they've "right-sized", their profits and CEO bonuses. Just a thought

Wow, you are really stupid. You think Obama was elected because he is black? You sound ignorant, bitter and angry. Or, are you just drinking the Rush Limbaugh (the angry drug addict) kool-aid.

I am glad Obama is trying something different from the Bush administration. We have learned the hard way that those policies didn't work. Although, golly... those days of $4+ gas... wow... I'll cherish those memories forever... and then the TARP... after 7 years of failed policies he tried to blame on Clinton.

Hey, try that at work... fail miserably and then tell your boss that it wasn't your fault... everything that is going wrong is because of the person who had the job 7 years before you... see how that works for you... what a joke...

Perhaps the administration's point is that it is better to have no profits than to have profits that are not taxed?

Fooey. It's just government, yet again insisting that you have no right to earn anything, at least not until you give the Greedy Hand of the taxman his cut.

Maybe someday the IRS will crack down on tax cheats, but then he'd have a hard time keeping his cabinet together.

Maybe the investigation should begin with Geithner the Stuttering Tax Cheat.

Then, move on to Charlie Rangel, the tax cheat, and Tom Daschle, tax cheat.

Gas prices came down before barry got into office. Clinton's policies - actually Carter's "Community Reinvestment Act" was to blame for it the subprime mortgages - well - that and all the scum that are walking away from their financial obligations.
But don't fret about gas prices, when your boy starts taxing carbon emissions, you'll be paying much more than $4 a gallon.
Ignorant, bitter and angry sounds like it sums up barry supporters.
They would elect an incompetent, corrupt chicago politician out of their hatred for Bush.

Quick question to those concerned about socialism. Could you forward the names of your tax accountants? You obviously have found ways to hide your assets...

Back to Basics:

If you take more money from people or corporations, they have less to spend, less to invest and less incentive to stay where they are. Period.

Obozo wants money. Lots and lots of money. His own appointments won't cough up but he thinks everyone else will.

So all the GS-1 wannabes can dance around the Maypole while the economy and the Constitution go down the drain.

He ain't the Messiah!

Wow, get ready for 4 more years of recession. Doesn't he realize that everything (with the exception I believe of the student loan overhaul) he has pushed - health care, carbon trading, now tax reform - will make it more expensive for companies to do business. That means productivity will drop and our economy will shrink. That means less tax base to fund Obama's spending.

Do you have any idea how many jobs this will kill? That might just be another faze of his evil plan of MAKING citizens dependent on the government.

Not to mention Obama is trying to do everything in his power to kill capitalism and thats blatantly obvious with his actions in the first 100 days. Anyone who cant see this is stupid or delusional.
