Off-duty officer charged in alleged drunk driving crash
3 people lift burning truck to rescue trapped driver

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/edmonton/story/2008/...

After the rear ending in Winnipeg that killed two by an offduty cop, and the obstruction of justice that happened there.

Seems that police services are great at handing out DUI's but for some reason, they are not policing themselves....

Of course not, a couple of years ago a Vancouver piggy was pulled over, and the morons comment was..... I did not know that three glasses of wine was over the limit. And this smuck is dealing out DUI. Just shows the mentality of our judicial system and cops. But then again they only need a grade 10 education, or equivilent.

If we pull them over, can we abuse them, taser them, pepper spray their obnoxious brats?

I mean turn about is fair play.

Now the cops are bad huh Siloviki???
On another post you were singing their praises!!!! That makes you wishy washy.

Uh please post that here with the quote and date/time.

You are going to be hardpressed to find me praising cops here, whether it be drunk driving or tasering Polish people in the Vancouver airport...

I'm as much an opponent of the 'system' whether it be gov't or supposed "law enforcement" as I am against the "free market" or 'straight and narrow' foreign policy.

Please post whatever imaginary quote here......

With the thread......

I have had such comments as, that I know "emergency services" and that ego as well as stupidity runs them to a certain degree.

The allure of speed, uniforms and authority.

I never wore the "badges" when i did my work in emergency services, even tho I had the right to proudly display a Saskatchewan Road Ambulance Association EMA/1 shoulderflash.

That wasn't my reasons for going into it.

But I saw lots who did.

Lawyers should be capped for straightforward cases, no love letters and running people into the ground financially for their own gain.

Politicians should be put in jail for breach of verbal contract in campaigns.

Cops and judges and the "legal system" should all be investigated by independant legal experts. Their job is to uphold the law, not corrupt it.

You only have to look at Zacardelli and the RCMP pension fraud/ the fraud information handed over to the US in the Arar case which WE paid for not Zacardelli, who "imposed self punishment" by retiring probably with his full pension. Seems like that is the way with politics, public officials and supposed "law". They impose "administrative punishment" on themselves through "ethics committees" and "demotion, dismissal" The rest of the "law" jazz is just for us untermenschen.

Zacardelli should have been destroyed to the tune of $12,000,000 of our dollars that were paid out. It's said in times of war that the commander in chief is directly responsible for war crimes and other "indiscretions"..

According to Geneva anyway. And no way that jerk should be walking the streets now, and he should be paying us restitution for the rest of his life.

The "legal" system has an inherant bias built right into it.

Any "independant" reaches are quickly vetoed by higher powers irregardless of validity. That bias is paid for by US.

The 'ruling elite' corrupt it absolutely by their paid (by our money) apparatus below them. They are employed by the state.

A case in point, is whether or not you agree with it, the Nuremburg Tribunals, Slobodan Milosevic and the Hague Tribunals, and the doctrine of the commander in chief being responsible for war crimes committed by a military. And with precedents set in the Geneva Conventions that dictate that once an occupying power deposes the standing authority, they are 100% responsible for the security and REBUILDING of a nation and any damages incurred.

And how it applies to George W Bush and his war in Iraq. The very same principals were applied to Bush, the illegality of the war in Iraq under international law, and precedents set by the Nuremburg Tribunals, and there was a legal movement to have him arrested on that basis should he enter Canada after his diplomatic immunity as president of the US expires upon his leaving office.

The legal basis was already set, with the Milosevic trials, but you can bet your bottom dollar it won't apply in the case of Bush.

Because, there are directives and obstruction and corruption in our legal system.
