Gays, blacks nixed as images on Canada's new plastic bank notes: report

The Bank of Canada considered celebrating gay marriages, black hockey players, and turban-wearing RCMP officers on its new plastic bank notes - but eventually nixed them all in favour of the more traditional images of a train, a ship and a monument.

... with so much oil, what is the amount injected into a fund used for various government programs and public works projects ...

as governments haven't yet announced plans to have the oil companies to turn over more of its earnings in dollars for the public good
