Vitamin D, alongside calcium, has indeed been highly regarded by nutrition experts in osteoporosis treatment. Although due to the risk of side effects from Fosamax, and other similar drugs, some patients have been found to be using supplements as replacement to their medication, which in some cases, have led to further health problems. Current information about Fosamax and related issues are featured at http://www.fosamax-lawsuit.net

I might consider moving to Canada some day simply because of the health care system there. Getting older on diminishing income is no way to ensure your future even with a 401k. I've heard vitamin D is really good for you and since my current insurance plan doesn't cover me for supplements I say God bless the maple leaf. RE: Osteoporosis Canada issues new vitamin D guidelines
..... Maybe just drinking enough milk will prevent osteoporosis.
..... Marloue M, health care in Canada differs depending on the province concerned and the kind of immigration status. Also there is(?) a waiting period before it gets to be started. Maybe there is a need to prove Canadian Citizenship, and also proof of residency. Check it all out (on the web?) before moving! Maybe you could be refused if you are already old and have health problems. Expect an insurance premium fee to have to be paid regularly.

Osteoporosis is a disease characterized by low bone mass and loss of bone tissue that may lead to weak and fragile bones. However, osteoporosis patients have sued Merck over Fosamax side effects, including degenerative bone damage, fractures, eye disorders and cancer. This is good to hear for those in Canada as taking supplements often don't have clear guidelines. Vitamin D is really beneficial to your health as it strengthens bones, and helps to regulate blood pressure. http://fosamaxclassactionattorneys.blogspot.c...

It is a known fact that vitamin D is very beneficial to individuals with osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is defined as a disease which robs a bone with its density and mineral, making it more prone to fracture. Fosamax is a bone drug which is widely used to treat osteoporosis. However, this drug has caused osteoporotic patients to suffer more serious complications, such as the osteonecrosis of the jaw.
